Sorry Ekbhoy, but this “or in Celtics case to protect their employees and fans from physical harm.” is risible.

Celtic were Rangers MkII’s best pals. It is abundantly clear that Messers Riley & Lawwell in partnership with the rest of the SFA, SPL & SFL boards did everything they could to facilitate Rangers MkII’s entry into the league at the highest level they could get away with.

I have no doubt, that Messers Riley & Lawwell would argue that their actions were always in what they saw/see as the best financial interests of Scottish Football & Celtic Football Club PLC, so let’s not kid ourselves.

Mr Lawwell’s comments around sporting integrity, give me some hope for the future, but , like an awful lot of people, I need to see that hope being transformed into actual positive change soon.

There is absolutely no prove to your statements re MrLawell and his colleagues desire to do Rangers a favour. Indeed, I have noted before on here that the Celtic Board would have been quaffing champagne (in private) at the demise of Rangers and the free run at the CL …… Only my take on things , not a proven fact …..
I would have thought it is obvious that the Celtic board keep quiet on all thing Rangers to ensure the safety of their employees and fans , you can’t think that’s risible if you like , but that rule has been in operation for a very long time and predates Rangers self combustion.

Arrrg IPad problem ……

In addition, many of the SPFL clubs will be waiting for the Rangers who will encounter many difficult away fixtures , which will be offset by officialdom dominated fixtures at Ibrox.

As far as all the garbage about Celtic wanting Rangers back in the league , our lads (in the team) will be chomping at the bit to hand out a hiding in February, although every game has a ? , if Mr Ashley and Liambias fund a few signings in January and then get thumped then they will be in serious trouble.

They are new to a crazy 2 horse race , which traditionally is the default mode for Scottish football; all this calculating down sizing stuff will count for nowt when the Bears realise that the games up , 15K to 20K crowds will be the norm.

My view is as a default position whatever position the SMSM take then the opposite is where you ought to be.

So in terms of Rangers and Mr Ashley coming to the rescue.

My view is that he will attempt to run Rangers along a prudent course which will require the current squad to be pruned and cull the over-paid whose contracts are up in the summer. The mistake that I believe Mr Ashley will be making is that to get close to the “pinnacle” = top , of Scottish football will require far more cash than he and Mr Lliambias has in mind. Reason being
that to actually get any top-class players to Scotland is far more difficult and expensive ; in addition the traditional style of Rangers play has reached such an appalling level of other than the third man run by Lee Wallace , it is awful and anyone with with any skill will simply refuse a discussion.

My tuppence is that Mr Ashley is looking to get Rangers on an even keel financially through a series of loans and appointing folk who wil take the tough decisions to down size the club, and leave a working model for the real “Rangers men”, who can buy into the club next summer.

The real concern for the Rangers support is that on the pitch a few hidings appear on the horizon, as the club heads down the downsizing path.

Still, I’m sure Mr Ashley and the new CEO are well aware of the forelock tugging tendencies in the Ibrox support and a few choice comments to the SMSM , another armed forces day , the usual drivel will keep enough of the punters buying strips ( camouflage shorts ) and turning up.

Based on the £7.5K fine to big Mike and the ability of the SFA once again to turn logic on its head ; it is a racing certainty that big Dave will not be told to Foxtrot Oscar , just need the self certification on FPP signed by a minion ….

…. Little wonder, sensible businesses give Scottish football a wide berth.

Still with King in charge, it will be hillarious , moonbeams a plenty.

I’d expect the Mullett to have a very sturdy Rangers mob kicking lumps out of the opposition , surrounding the ref , keep their shape sort of stuff , close the curtains stuff

There are some things in this life which are not meant to change and one of this is for the Rangers fans to regular abuse their fellow Scots; they used to enjoy continuing this abuse into the workplace and encourage outrageous employment practices …….
These stuck in the past relics however exist at either end of social spectrum, the Blazers just can’t well help themselves , all the clubs know this and they all know that if they vote for draconian sanctions re “singing” then one club will never ever be sanctioned and it will be a dead heat between Celtic and Hearts as to who looses points firsts ……..
……….. My advice is if you encounter such a “singer” , when they are not singing is to express sorry at their lack of humanity and offer to pray for them …… the gene pool for these idiots is reducing , however this means the ones left are truly odious

Simple solution re offensive songs , contain the pestilence, don’t go to Ibrox and refuse to provide away tickets, requires fan power to lead the way.

So just to summarise , anyone waiting for Rangers to be charged with Sectarian anything will have a very very long wait.
Raith Rovers ground under protection , zilch repercussion on Rangers , let’s be frank all the other clubs will never vote for sectarian sanctions due to the copious amount of ‘even -ing up’ needed and for Celtic to vote for it , the directors may as we’ll just quadruple the budget for legal fees due to peculiar twist on sectarian songs in this part of the world, the club would be in permanent legal disputes.

I find it best to laugh at the mix of ‘well heeled 90 bigots’ and ‘uneducated morons’ which spout the garbage , a gentle snigger at every point dropped ; works for me, I am in the nothing will ever be done camp.

It is getting to the stage now that the Rangers circus is farcical, the SFA are completely useless at running the game for the benefit of the whole league but doing rather well as the administrative wing of the Ibrox club, keeping that out of bother.

Good also to see that the new compliance officer is following the proud tradition of being aye ready to ignore bad behaviour on and off the pitch from Ibrox.
I believe that FFP should be introduced from next season with draconian powers that the SPFL operate, surely by now most of the other clubs must realise that the bilge coming out of Ibrox needs to be swept away, busted flush does do them justice.

I’d expect a few more doings on the pitch will be last straw for a few bears ……. Crowds down vicious cycle downwards
