Appologies everone for feeding the Troll!

Someone tweeted Rangers directors box tonight, Dingwall, Leggo, Craig Houston…they were all there. They’ve got the MSM covered now it looks like they’ve got the on-line community wined and dined as well. There won’t be too much dissention from the ranks if times get tough.

It’s a hard call. Sure, ronny deila has had resources at his disposal that most managers don’t and Robbie neilson is a good call. Paul Hartley and John Hughes Too. Alex Neil done well and got the Norwich Job…..which I think if ronny deila had been offered, he’d have taken it before the Celtic job!

I’d go for ronny deila. Yes, I know even John Barnes would have won the league in these circumstances however he’s had a huge effect on the club and I think Celtic have pulled out a diamond there and the best is yet to come.

Micro-scooters….It means kick the arse out of your business model before the competition notice and copy what you’re doing. Don’t know if it works for scottish football but we have branding issues. No league is about to copy our 2 team ‘rivalry’ model any time soon!

Absolutely!

I have to say though, I know a number of decent bears….I even begin to think sometimes, haven’t they been punished enough? I don’t mean punished in the sanctions sense, I mean haven’t they paid a massive price for their nonsense?
One look on the Rangers forums usually cures me of this.

A Scottish football stands, we need a club that can bring 40’000 every 2nd week to the table, just not this one.

John Clark Meets “The SFA”

This is exactly why I posted my comment on here, to get this kind of reply.  Thanks for taking the time.
The “lowers a right thinking member of the public” defence is interesting, as is the defaming a small group.
Makes me think that it wouldn’t be in the board’s interest to take this to court….they win their case against this awful slur then…..well, what they going to do when it gets sung again…or between now and the case. Herald could have called their bluff.  The Herald doesn’t have the will or resources to protect a weekly columnist.   Like Rangers, these places are running on fumes.
The newspaper industry is dying because of the internet, that’s 90% of the problem. they’re surviving hand to mouth, they haven’t got the backing to deal with this.  I understand spiers comments about his editor.

That’s just kind of sounds too good to be true….i’d proceed with caution!

John Clark Meets “The SFA”
Got to be Honest, not sure what to make of the Herald’s actions.
Firstly, I believe a Rangers Director did make that comment to Graham Spiers however I’ve got a feeling the email exchange between them probably contains a denial from Rangers….even they ain’t dumb enough to put that in writing. So with out any evidence, where does that leave the Herald legally?
It’s an honest question. would he have likely lost in court…does the fact he mentions an un-named Rangers director give any legal leeway in this?  I know there are other more sinister factors at play here but is this one in itself a showstopper?
It wouldn’t be the first time a newspaper has had to issue an apology to a company.
As for the Likes of Chris Jack etc. , I can it from his point of view.  Celtic Have never really had pet journalists and don’t really engage with the media beyond their obligations (they’ve good reason).  Basically sucking up to Celtic doesn’t pay the bills however sucking up to Rangers gets you scraps and generally makes your job a lot easier.
Yeah there’s no dignity or integrity in it however I’ve always believed the media is an industry where very few people can have success and integrity.  Chris jack probably got any dreamy notions of being the next woodward or Bernstein knocked out him early on in his career and settled for a role in PR.

This my thoughts on it exactly, leveraged buy out. If he gets the retail contract changed, a few more fans through the gates and into the top division, the shares he picked up for buttons due to his shennanigans become worth a lot more. I think he’s taking a punt on this. This sort of pump n dump thing is his bread n butter.

He’s the type of guy that wouldn’t part with a single Rand if he didn’t have to, his aggressive tax avoidance shows this. So 20 million or so soft investment doesn’t seem his style.

As for the ST sales, doesn’t really surprise me. This is the hardcore support who bought their ST’s despite all the nonsense of last summer, all the negative press and prompting from fan reps. 90% renewal isn’t a huge surprise from this group. What’ll be interesting is how many of 12,000 missing fans did so because they wanted DK in and how many were just fed up with up everything.

As a matter of interest…..was it not possible for non ST holders purchase a season ticket before today? Would seem a bit silly if that was the case??

I think people are more laughing at the media spin that’s coming with the signings more than anything + how they turned down Celtic etc.!! My Mate is a Birmingham fan and he says Rob Kiernan is a pretty decent player. I also think that, if fit, Eustace would be a good signing too, same with Wilson. Good prudent signings however the way they’re being played out in the media is something to behold!
