I actually think the NOMAD resigning suited DK down to the ground as it meant the company got delisted to put the next bit of the plan into place. Otherwise he couldn’t have done it because he wouldn’t have got 75% of the vote.

=====================
I agree entirely. I’m just astonished that King has bypassed the need for a 75% shareholder vote so easily.

I don’t the think that the danger to King comes from the original mystery investors, but rather from the moderately well off types (the real, real Rangers men) who rallied to the cause at the IPO with what would to them have been a significant sum, and are now seeing King effectively wipe them out.

They might even have read the Record, or visited the BBC website, and actually believed what Jackson and Wilson told them about King’s honourable intentions.

Such people tend to be honest themselves, and can get very upset when they feel they are being dealt with dishonestly. They also know how to complain, and will not be happy about being stiffed by King.

Personally, I think King is in deep trouble already on the wider front, and not just because I want him to be. Unless he comes up with a big money injection soon, the support will rapidly turn against him. They are definitely not on board with King/Murray’s latest 2022 plan for world domination.

The “New Pioneers” painting will be taken down today
I understand the painting will be removed from public view by close of business today.

The painting sent the permarage meter among the Ibrox faithful to DEFCON 1, on various levels.

The choice of surrogate “pioneers” was universally seen as unfortunate. But much more importantly, “new pioneers 2012” was seen to clearly imply that the current club is a new one, founded in 2012.

How can the occupants of the “Blue Room” get everything so wrong and so consistently? Are they doing it on purpose? These are supposedly Real Rangers Men, for goodness sake. Anyone could have told them that this would go down like a lead balloon with the fans.

I make no comment on the artistic merit of the picture 🙄 🙄 except to say that I took a lot of convincing that it had not been produced by that naughty Cartuja on KDS.

The reaction of the Bears on Twitter last night was the best laugh I’ve had in ages.

A good article about time-keeping, with some interesting comments. I have thought for a while that timekeeping should not be part of the the referee’s job.

I liked this bit on Dempster & Budge @neepheid:

Despite taking control of rival clubs, they recently proved forthright and vocal adversaries of the SPFL over the scheduling of the final Championship fixtures and share a desire to challenge old attitudes and improve the Scottish game. They both speak of fairness and transparency and have insisted on open dialogue with the fans. They have also both proved to be very good at what they do.

============================
Fairness? Transparency? Dialogue with fans? I can just imagine the blazers going beetroot red and spluttering over their G&T’s as they read such heresy.

We need some women of the Budge/Dempster type on the 6th floor at Hampden, in positions where they can actually change the cosy “old boys” culture. I honestly think that an influx of strong-minded, able women is the only way to escape from the special kind of cronyism (let’s call it the Ogilvie syndrome) that has bedevilled the governance of our game for far too long.

Resolution 12 & The Broken Bond
The Celtic Board have a huge shareholder majority behind them regarding any actions they take, or don't take. The Board can argue convincingly that any financial loss suffered by Celtic over the Res12 issue, is more than compensated for by the continued existence of a football environment in which the PLC makes pots of money.

That football environment is predicated upon the continuation of the "Old Firm" at any price. Part of that price (in the Board's view) is allowing the deep corruption at the heart of the SFA to continue unreformed.

I am not an advocate for any of this, far from it. I walked away years ago, over Ogilvie's enthronement for a second term as SFA President, unopposed by Celtic. That episode, forgotten no doubt by most on here, was the writing on the wall for me.

Everything that has happened since  has confirmed me in my view that the Celtic Board have no intention whatsoever of rocking the boat. I can understand why. But it sticks in my craw, and always will.

Honesty has no price, in my world. To say that Celtic were totally unaware of the contents of the 5 Way Agreement? Sorry chaps on the Board, but I'm not buying that one.

These days I watch St Roch's when I can. That's football for me now. A breath of clean air.

Is Regan a DIDDY?
This is worth a read on the Morelos transfer saga- apologies if already posted.

I see that Sir Walter is being touted for the Scotland manager vacancy. I can fully understand why the deadly duo of Jack and Jackson are pushing this so hard.
TRFC are (as always) in some financial difficulty, despite having a squad containing galacticos in the £8m bracket. They need to get the paper value of that squad even higher, to encourage the Real Rangers Men to come forward with donations (sorry, loans). Their children’s inheritance will seem so much safer if the club has some valuable tradeable assets on its books.
This is where Walter comes in. A few international caps can do wonders for the value of even the most pitiful dumpling. Just watch, as caps are doled out to every player in the TRFC squad who has a Scottish qualification. Look on in wonder as TRFC squad value is doubled or trebled in a matter of months.
That’s the plan, folks. Desperate men, desperate measures, and all that. Shame about the better players edged out of the Scotland reckoning, an even bigger shame for the Tartan Army, who will see any prospects of Euro/World Cup qualification go up in smoke.
By the way, I agree entirely with Homunculus regarding JJ’s latest. Whether true or not, it is a disgraceful piece.

I may be wrong but I understand the loans to be viewed as money taken from the company –HMRC Guide  https://www.gov.uk/directors-loans 1. That HMRC advice relates to the common situation where directors borrow money from their company. Here RIFC (or TRFC?) has borrowed money from its directors.
