Whilst the other Bampots are desperately trying to work out how to remove their ‘Chick Young’ avatars…hehe…!

If Ogilvie does depart the 6th floor at Hampden, [which I’ll believe when I see it], then that is another opportunity to address the dismal reputation of the governing bodies.

Mibbees the SPFL & SFA decision makers could manage to meet each other somewhere along the 6th floor ? Shouldn’t be too difficult.

Agree that something radical has to happen.

Along with Ogilvie, get shot of the damaged goods that is Doncaster.
Signal a bright new future – perhaps – for the Scottish governing bodies.

Then…bring in a tough, interim CEO for both the SFA & SPFL for a period of 2 years to identify and drive necessary changes to the structure of both bodies.

Idenifify duplication of effort / functions.
Outsource as much as possible.
Address the obvious conflict of interest with clubs’ directors being on the boards of both bodies for operational matters.

Maybe the clubs’ directors experience could be utilised for strategic direction, but tactical/operational activities and decisions are strictly outside their remit ?

Just thinking aloud, but my expectation is that the SFA will keeping Ogilvie indefinitely, with Doncaster also remaining in post.

No change and nothing learned by the d!ddies on the 6th floor… 🙁

New Paintings For Ibrox

http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9219-new-paintings-for-ibrox

We can only guess the location of Super Ally’s other portrait – commensurate with his managerial success.
=============================================

That’s it right there !

This little nugget of info confirms how far removed from reality the folks at Ibrox seem to be – mibbees as a result of rangersitis ?

When you apparently haven’t got 2 coins to rub together, don’t know how you will pay the next month’s wages, and have put all your available assets in hock…what do you do…?

Yes, that’s right: you go out and commission 6 paintings !

Absolutely mental. 😯

I am one of the constant moaners about this Bob. The ref added 5 minutes at Pittodrie today. I think there is a case for at least that in more than 50% of games, if not more.
========================================
IMO, this is one area where the customer/fan experience could be improved – using technology – and without any controversy.

The ref is already advised – from an ‘external’ source – of added time at the end of the first half and second half. IIRC, the ref can use his judgement to add further time to this recommended minimum added time.

Most/every SPL team has at least one big TV screen, which also displays the time played.

So, during the game the ‘added time’ could be displayed in real time. Presumably [?] the 4th official calculates the added minimum time during the game, [could be wrong].

So why not link this calculation to the stadium TV screens ?

At a stroke it could remove controversy – ref added time aside.

…at my Mothers I picked up her Sunday Post…one of their sports reporters is none other than Mark Guidi,anyone know when he Tuped over to DC Thomson,the comic kings.
======================================

And did Guidi’s ‘exclusive’ sports report start with the standard;
“Wee Jeanie down the road overhead…” !?

I am embarrassed for Guidi.

It Is Better To Offer No Excuse Than A Bad One
Just a wild idea…

But, what if King declared himself bankrupt?
[Well in a court recently, he did claim he was ‘penniless’].

Of course anyone who knows of the glib and shameless one would assume King would have assets hidden, or in his wife’s name – a la wee Bazza?

Would bankruptcy effectively kill off the TOP sanctions?

At this point it seems that King’s reputation is ruined in Scotland – and with the bears and even with the SMSM?

King’s time is up playing charades as ‘the Rangers saviour’, and he must – you would think – be thinking about preserving his remaining wealth as he approaches retirement…?  09

Mibbees after 20 years of failure, the national team and the SFA don’t deserve a dedicated, national stadium?

And Hampden is simply not worth keeping as a football venue for mainly sentimental reasons, IMO.

CO, I think Phil’s scoop about the manner of Nicholl’s appointment deserves a: Wow Just Wow!
It displays how dysfunctional the management structure at Ibrox has become, and you would think, it is a massive red flag.
[Apart from having no cash.]

I also have my fingers and toes crossed that in 2018 my £20 bet on TRFC finishes bottom 6 comes in – with the help of an Admin. event.

[Thanks to fellow Bampots for the tip: interestingly Sky wouldn’t accept a £50 bet for a 150/1 long shot…]

All the best for 2018 Bampots!

And just have to add this headline from the esteemed DR, so it must be true;

“Bluenoses out of joint as Rangers pub to be turned into gay sauna’s bar”

Couldn’t possibly comment on the article…but a couple of sentences did jump out as sounding familiar;

“…Annie Millers was one of Glasgow’s most hardcore Rangers haunts and it was a real shock for a lot of fans when it closed last year.
A lot of drinkers were hoping that someone might rescue the pub so it could reopen as it was before. This definitely won’t happen now…

Guessing it’s quiet as the Bampots have been out watching the footy…or getting dragged around the shops by their better half for the sales ?!

Wife told me last night about the Dembele ‘sale’.
Immediate reaction was that it was nonsense from the SMSM.

There ‘could’ be some truth in it: e.g. an off-the-record tip from either CFC or Dembele’s agent, perhaps to simply instigate a bidding war ?

But, my initial reaction to any big story is to always doubt the SMSM’s veracity: the lamb munchers were exposed a long time ago…and it’s a surprise that the DR in particular is still on sale in hard copy format.

If he is sold for X millions, how will the SMSM / Level42 spin that as ‘bad news’ for CFC…and bad for Scottish football ?  22
