A propos of not a lot other than that…
… a character I’ve just seen in a New Yorker cartoon (like the kind of figure who might be a business consultant) is leaning over a desk (like the kind of desk to be found at the top of a marble staircase ) advising a CEO about tweaks to a serious business document…
“Then we carefully disguise the bribes as legal fees by changing the word ‘bribes’ to ‘legal fees.’ ”

Dunno John, my sarcasm meter was reporting high levels as I read it.

My feelings too scapa – although not as well-written as his work usually is.

Leckie is not everyone’s cup of tea, but he is not a Rangers fan. He has historically been very anti-OF, and unlike Chic Young, is an actual St. Mirren supporter.

Aye…. The above was as I also read the piece… Even grinning at the final throwaway lines about only 4 years and 300+ days before it’s fine and dandy again.
Bill Leckie’s written that deadpan. No need or possibility of hyping this to make the scheming and planning appear any more fantastic than it is!
I’d cut him some slack in this…

“On a point related to the post by Briggsbhoy: whilst HMRC might have been pursuing RFC for the BTC EBTS, they were more than generous in giving time to pay the wee tax case bill, in fact had a vested interest in doing so.”
——————————-
This may be covering old ground but for my benefit at least, could you elaborate on what this ‘vested interest’ might be?

Interesting to note the John James last two blogs are only accessible via a payment and pin method.

Good.
Missing it already – the recent times in which I’ve wandered back there for a free keek, I’ve been concerned for his mental strength.  Like a hand-knitted geeg, hurtling close to the earth with wobbling wheels predestined to hurtle off, crashing and not burning…

“I accept RFC brought the game into dispute……Stripping medals from a dead sportsmen for bringing the game into disrepute seems a tad heartless.”
……………………………………….

1.  The dead, as you know, are unable to feel any hurt.

2. Dead sportsmen who knowingly indulged in cheating practices in order to gain an unfair advantage over honest competitors are unworthy of our compassion.

3. Besides, as Shug McDiarmid almost put it,

“A living man/club upon a DEID man/club thinks,
And ony sma’er thocht’s impossible”.

Rangers died.  That’s all.

The rest is noise.
We’ve all moved on and have no wish to be dancing on the heads of angelic pins being embellished by such as yourself.

“Why are you asking me questions that are irrelevant to the membership transfer? I am not denying liquidation.”
Ern…
If you’re not denying liquidation, then why belabour irrelevant, metaphysical questions about a spurious membership?
