Comment on Enough is enough by Cygnus X-1.

I run a business, all be it, a small one, and every single month, the most important question I ask is, do I have enough money to pay the bills, staff salaries etc. I always need to know, that no matter what variables, challenges and problems arise, that the bottom line, the bills are covered.

This basic law of economics, appears never to have mattered, nor apparently ever been considered down Ibrox way, by successive boards in the old and the new club. Over two decades, it seems no one has ever asked the question, “do we have enough money in the bank to pay the bills”.

The latest set accounts from RIFC are utterly horrific, but given the above, completely unsurprising. It is an insolvent business, because they cannot pay the bills, that they have accrued.

Why does this happen? Why are the Directors of this business unable to balance the books, remain within budget, and live within their means? What’s the psychology and culture within this business that the most basic task of keeping the lights on, seems to be to difficult for it to achieve?

As I say to my Wife quite often, when she’s using her credit card, you can’t buy things, unless you have the money to pay for it. Businesses and companies, which fail to understand and adhere to this basic principle, are guaranteed to end up failing. Spending more than you earn is unsustainable, and the destination of RIFC PLC is easily determined and forecastable. They are guaranteed to go under.

That they have form for this, that Scottish Football has been here before, and we all know what happened the last time( even though many are in denial) it’s insane, completely insane that we’re witnessing it all over again

Instutional dishonesty coupled with instutional stupidity, the hallmark of Rangers…

CLUSTER ONENOVEMBER 11, 2017 at 08:46
I nearly choked on my Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, when reading Cluster’s suggestion. Can you imagine the meltdown of the Bearmacht, if the SFA moved lock, stock & barrel into the new CP Hotel, when built-:))

Unseen Fenian Hand indeed, but would potentially deliver such top comedy, as to be seriously considered

Enough is enough
Delusional: adjective “characterized by or holding idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder”

“Based on or having faulty judgement; mistaken”

I refer the above, to the “article” by Alex Rae today, in a local West of Scotland tabloid , where he boldly stated “Rangers are a club who win & lose with dignity and the Board need to get that back to Ibrox”

I won’t attach a link to the story, because it is indicative of the above delusion, and is one of main causes of the continuing failure, of anybody in a position of authority, at Ibrox, to adjust to the new paradigm, that they find themselves in, and secondly, the collapse of the newsprint industry in this country.

And that’s mainly because they write this pish & secondly because, they actually believe this pish. They will never move on as a club, if they continue to exist in a paradigm( if it ever did) that no longer exists.

Additionally, the newspaper industry will continue to atrophy, at an incredible rate, if they continue to perpetuate such lies and utter mince, because that’s what it is, lies and utter mince

Now, I know the bold Alex thinks that this is what the troops want to hear, and will increase his staunch status down Govan way, especially if Big Eck gets the job, and takes him, as his Assistant?

But really, where are the intelligent Rangers fans who can see through this nonsense for what it is??

Enough is enough
There is absolutely no question that Broadfoot was primed by Regan primarily, but I suspect Doncaster as well, with the “correct” line to take. What is ridiculous and contemptable is why a PR poodle like Broadfoot is even on the air?
Why do we accept the monkey, when we all want and deserve to hear from the organ grinder, but there is no way Regan will expose himself to such scrunity, and that’s precisely the reason for the discord in the first place. I thought the role of a good PR consultant was to remain in the background?
On here, we are all familiar with Daryl “I am the SFA” Broadfoot, we know the cut of his gib, with his lucicrous & farcical ego, and need for significance, but unfortunately, every Scottish football fan is paying for this farce.
I tweeted Paul Goodwin immediately after the programme to commend his patience, and enquired whether off air, DM told him the name of the SFA “academic” who criticised the survey and it’s expert methodologists?
Until, we remove Regan, Doncaster, Broadfoot et al, our collective intelligences will continue to be insulted by these risible fools.

It Is Better To Offer No Excuse Than A Bad One

Yes, the continuing myopia that characterises the unthinking element of that support. I can’t think of one reason, logical or otherwise, why King would waste another thin dime on that business, pre-supposing of course, that he has been doing that previously, because with him, one never actually knows?

What was clear from my friends’ reactions last night, and the discussion, which ensued, is the decision by the COS, has a similar feel to the days of administration, and the CVA being rejected, it feels seismic?

It Is Better To Offer No Excuse Than A Bad One
This is an annual post for me. Was out last night with all my friends, and we’re split down the middle between Celtic & Rangers fans. My RFC friends have been very quiet for some time, there’s been general chit chat about football, but nothing, repeat nothing specific about the travails of the club currently operating out of Ibrox? It’s just too painful for them to discuss….

Last night was different. I prompted the conversation by asking “who’s getting a Xmas bonus then & selling their shares at 20p”?

To a man, all three said yes, the sooner the better. All had purchased a £500 package of shares in the IPO, as a way of giving their “club” some much needed revenue, after Green assumed control. For all three, it was an emotional investment, now however, they’d seen events unfold, and coldly realised this was the best deal they were going to get, and have absolutely no problems, of selling them at the first opportunity

I don’t know what this says about the wider supporter base of smaller shareholders, but if it’s a pattern, then Mr King might have a big dunt in his £11m?

As Celtic are the only member club, thus far, to ask the SFA, to re-examine this issue, and should your deduction prove to be true, what are Celtic’s options at that point?

Can they take it further, presumably to Uefa, or even a judicial review? Would the Res 12 group on Celtic’s behalf look to promulgate this further?

Could it be, that if what you say might happen, actually happens, does that open the door to Celtic potentially going “all guns blazing”?

I would certainly welcome that…;

So, it seems that there is great online interest in this potential CW book? Is it a Hitler Diaries episode or the real thing?

6 years ago, I would’ve been salivating at such a product, but now, after everything that’s happened, I must confess, that my interest has completely waned, given that simply, we know more or less the full story?

However, one outcome would change my thinking, and that is, if such a book shines a light, on the collusion, and corruptness of the SFA, SPL, & all the nefarious individuals, involved at the time, including the clubs, and hopefully leading to the removal of these individuals, and significant structural change, in the way that Scottish football is governed.

Indeed, if CW can be the catalyst of this type of change, then perhaps, he is the John the Baptist figure, that we’ve all been longing for, and he can rest assured that I’ll be spending quite of a bit of my children’s Xmas present money on his tome.

The Vice Closes
Listening to Stewart Regan on Sportsound tonight was extremely detrimental to my physical and mental health. What a weasel the man is. Hiding behind the corporate legalise, with the tortured sophistry and the condensending, but ingratiating manner, was enough to make me puke.
However, what has become ever clearer tonight, on the back of the servile statement from Hibs, is that the fans of other 41 clubs, are now the only hope, that the entire professional game has. Similar to the “No to Newco” campaign, the fans of all the clubs have to come together, to force the clubs to act.
It’s clear that many won’t act, for a variety of reasons, all too familiar to us on here, therefore, only the fans and a threat of a boycott, will force them to act and change. Now, I know that season ticket money has been banked, but a mass mobilisation is required, otherwise the architects of the cheats charter will remain in place.
A frightening and ghastly prospect that simply mustn’t be allowed to happen….
