Well done Germany.
The best team won I think.

Can I get my prize paid into an EBT please?

Actually this is no longer the case. strachan has obviously been getting his players to try and keep the ball. It was most notable at the end of the win over Croatia. On the other hand you will wait a long time to see an SPFL team keep possesion when under pressure at the end of a game.

Yeah fair enough.
To drift a bit further off topic, I think to be honest I’d defend players in this country who just kick the ball as hard as they can when under pressure because it’s often a panic reaction to the shrieking voices of their teammates, management and fans telling them to do just that. I’ve certainly seen that plenty of times.

Admiring Italy passing it around in defence while under pressure, one goal ahead and minutes to play. If that were Scotland it would be punts up the pitch as accurate and useful as Wayne Rooney corners.

Suspect England are going to get properly humped by the Italians tonight. 😥

Please be gentle with myself, MUFC and others of the English persuasion.

I suspect our esteemed contributor mCfc may take that as a double insult. 😈 😆

How does this sound for a plan.    League restructuring to be announced to come into effect next season. There will be no demotion from the premier, but teams from the Championship will be promoted.

I suspect there would still be relegation, to maximise the number of Championship teams going up.

Can’t be too careful.

So thats the first half over and all I can say is that St Mirren fans should be smiling.

Yes I’m sure Chick is happy enough today. 😀

I thought the “first 10 Celtics” would be in Iceland playing a friendly

match, unfortunately

————————————————————————–

The match was brought forward by a day because of some other game on the Wednesday.

Means I can’t go now as I’ll be jetting in on Tuesday evening.

Pesky Champions League.

Why We Need to Change
Hopefully an in context mention of a friendly:

The Turnbull Hutton Stand will be formally named at Stark’s Park on Tuesday night when the Rovers play Celtic XI.

Presumably the first 10 Celtics are too scared to take us on. 🙂

“International Sports Monitor” is an ambitious title, but so large in scope that I wonder whether a lot will be lost in the transition. Is it planned to cover Golf in Peru, Netball in Australia, Wrestling in Bulgaria- where does it stop?

——————————————-

It’s independent, not international.

Don’t get me started on Bulgarian wrestling though…
