  1. Dont think young Mr Templeton will be playing Scottish lower league football this season. May just have put himself in the shop window as Jeff Charlie and Big Rambo would say šŸ™‚

  2. ………. and that’s why there’s a Hearts fanzine called “Always the Bridesmaid” šŸ™

    Seriously though, the outcome wasn’t unexpected. Hearts gave it as good a performance as they were capable………………. but if only!

    But Ally is promising him cup football, load of lovely scenery and SPL next year. Now why wiuld he not want that?

  4. Have to say, magnificent effort by Hearts tonight. The difference in quality, while it exists, is nowhere near what the gulf from Sky-sponsored over-inflated Premiership wages would have you believe.

  5. Armageddon? Well done Hearts – excellent performance, technically accomplished, showed good composure and as is so often the case lacked only the luck that so often accompanies “bigger” teams.

    Considering their respective budgets, John McGlynn comes out of this tie with far more credit than Brendan Rodgers who looks more, with each passing game, like another Roy Hodgson as far as Liverpool are concerned.

    A useful draw to aid the Scottish teams’ co-efficient.

    Excellent analysis – Please get that posted out far and wide.

    I do get the strange feeling that the powers at be will be really uncomfortable with this sort of information; cold, hard facts don’t sit well.

    And as far as CL money being distributed to other clubs, it seems to be already happening. Could we be having an “anti-armageddon” moment ?

  7. Celtic Champions league draw
    Hearts put on superb display against Liverpool.
    The Rangers chasing two Hearts players.

    Which story do you think BBC Radio Scotland have focused on?

  8. The EPL is a house of cards predicated on an unsustainable financial model and the financial meltdown visited on RFCIA is a portent of what will eventualy come raining down on them. The standard outside a very few teams is pretty average at best. We think the MSM have an agenda but this whole “best league in the world” b*llsh*t is fabricated by Murdoch via Sky and his other media outlets, now there’s someone who could give CG lessons on how to fleece the masses.

  9. And while I’m OT on an anti Sky rant I have watched all Celtic,Barca and Scottish teams in Europe so far this season via- myp2p- web site in perfect quality after cancelling my Sky Sports subscrition. Can highly recommend.

    Doncasters quote:

    ā€œMoreover, the amount of Uefa solidarity funding that is shared equally by the other 11 SPL clubs not competing in the Champions League will this season increase from Ā£500,000 to around Ā£1,500,000, partly offsetting the financial damage caused to the league by the loss of Rangers from the SPL.ā€
    ===============================================================
    If Ā£1.5 million is ā€œpartly offsettingā€ the financial damage, what is the true cost?
    How much more than Ā£1.5 million does Doncaster reckon it will cost and what is he basing these figures on?

    Did I not predict it was Donkey’s turn to raise his head above the parapet, after Regan & Oglvie’s recent utterances? They are trying to be moving targets.

    Who’s turn is it next? Will Charlie or Fat Sally fancy another outburst after their tickle on the wrist? (Couldn’t even call it a slap)

    I shall be in Scotland soonā€¦ā€¦I demand to meet CO and ask him the questions we all want answered. And who are these sevcovians? We deserve to know?

    ————————————————————————————————————————-

    Totally agree. There have been too many slippery characters in this saga, it’s hard to keep up !

    In the future, history will tell of The Tale of the Teflons, i.e.

    Teflon Dave
    Teflon Sally
    Teflon Cardigan
    Teflon MBB
    Teflon Charlie
    Teflon Donkey
    Teflon Reagan
    Teflon Souey
    Teflon Eck
    Teflon Doddsy
    Teflon Duffers
    Teflon Campbell
    Teflon Jabba
    Teflon Chico
    Teflon Shug
    Teflon Dawwel
    Teflon Jacko

    Too many other Teflons to mention.

    In fact, “Teflon Tony” looks positively like Superglue compared to this lot !

    On a brighter note, well done Celtic, Hearts and Motherwell for bringing a bit of lawful pride back to our “National Game” (Copyright The Fans, NOT The SFA nor The SPL- Please take note Messr’s Doncaster & Reagan !).

    p.s. Can’t wait till the next Disciplinary against a Manager. The precedent has been set today, and Lawyers will have a field day !

    I also can’t understand why Chuckie Green has been affy silent about the Naughty Sevco Songs being sung around our lower leagues ? Especially after his claims of B$gat0ry !

    Let’s have a statement, Charles ! Perhaps one of our “Teflon” MSM could ask the question to Chucky Boy ? Yeah, Right !

    So there we have it
    The penalty for bringing the game into disrepute, and inciting your supporters causing them to threaten Panel members, is a 3 match suspended ban
    Now that has been cleared up, I would hope that the next individual found guilty of this offence, quotes this punishment as a precedent
    Talk about making a rod for your own back
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Its’ like Alias Smith & Jones – there appears to be a general amnesty. Great news for Neil L – who can shout his head off and need not fear any real punishment.
  15. “So, if you sell us two of your best players on the cheap, we’ll pay you the remaining money for the last star player we stole from you…………….”
    http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/188003-rangers-fail-in-bid-for-hearts-pair-ryan-mcgowan-and-david-templeton/
    I’m sure the SFA will step in and investigate this larceny/blackmail………
    …….but wait…….didn’t Charlie, the snake-oil salesman, said they were debt-free to Scottish clubs?
  16. Once more the SFA have proved beyond doubt that anything/anybody connected with Sevco Rangers are immune to natural justice when the rules are broken.
    The decisions today to find Charles Green and Fat Sally guilty of their misdemeanours but walk away without further punishment beggars belief.
    There are too many instances of the complete injustices that are carried out on other persons who are not connected with this deceased football club.
    Pat Fenlon was given a 3 game ban for waving a lone finger at the singing Hearts supporters at the Scottish Cup Final, while his team were capitulating 5-1 to their nearest rivals.
    Derek Adams of Ross County was given a 17 game ban for being a serial offender of minor
    behavioural moments during matches.
    While these actions are not to be condoned,Charles Green and Fat Sally appeat to be Teflon coated, despite CG claiming that the rest of Scottish Football is full of “bigots” and FS claiming that the members of the SFA Judisary Panel were named and have received no suitable punishments.
    Is it beyond the SFA to implement their rules equally to all personnel who are found guilty of breaking the rules, or do we have to continue for ever with this continual inbalance of natural justice.
    I think Groan on radio moanin about players still regd was laughable. If the players’ registration/transfer away had not been challenged, Groan and The Rangers would not have the problem. Groan argues one instance that he and Sevco have bought their contracts and they are TRFC players, then the next minute complains that they remain registered, affecting the available number of ‘free slots’ in his pool of 22.
    Very interesting that Groan was it seems charged with bribery and McC has no verdict against his 3rd charge.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Too many lawyers already – this is meant to be sport?

  19. Precedent – my a&se – there is one rule for Rangers ( they are after all the essential purpose of the SFA ) and the rest.

    If Lennon or anyone at Celtic park were to state that the decision today was despicable and taken by b**g*ted eejits tomorrow then they would be banned for a long time and that ban would be whipped up by the MSM as a just way to deal with such disrepute.

    What is needed is a Tartan Army boycott of all home Scotland internationals – and a protest to the chairmen and chief execs of all clubs indicating that if they don’t get off their fat bahookies and rid us of the likes of Regan, Doncaster, Ogilvie, Ballantyne and the rest then everyone will walk away.

    Sadly won’t happen – too many football junkies – not enough football fans!

    These jokers are laughing at all of us. WE all need to hit the clubs where it hurts and stop watching. Force them into action. Otherwise they will be back in the SPL next season and all will carry on – until SEVCO go bust and a new franchise takes over. And let’s see any other club pull that stunt – liquidate and Phoenix – SFA will have them out the door immediately.

    They are a criminal cabal – supported and nurtured and fed by all member clubs and their fans, however unwittingly or unwillingly..

    Wake up people – pull the plug on your own teams – and then they will pull the plug on this nonsense – anything less won’t cut it. The only time any action was taken was when the fans did exactly that. Not enough was done and now they are trying to undo the concessions that were made. Nothing less than all fans of all clubs ( obviously not SEVCO fans – they are not actually a club at all – a cult someone said and they were right) demanding justice and change by boycotting the whole fetid set up will do.

  20. Today the SFA have confirmed again[in case we missed it first time round] that no matter what Fat boy does or says they will not punish him in any shape or form.If memory serves me right they gave Pat Fenlon a 2 match touchline ban for getting into a bit of verbals with hearts supporters on cup final day.
    This site should as a matter of urgency make it known to the so called guardian’s of our game that thier behaviour toward’s dead club will no longer be accepted.
    Every player/manager should tell the guardian’s of our game to gtf if they ever bring them up on charges after letting Fat boy of again today.
    What have this f***ing club and it’s management got to do before the guardian’s of our game stand up to them.
    All this crap about we have been punished enough please do us all a favor and just stfu,everything that has happened has been self inflicted and you know it.
    And i see they now want to buy more player’s from hearts even though they still have not paid for the last one they bought.Pass the brasso please

  21. Not banning Ally is probably the worst punishment Sevco could have got.

  22. The rogue behaviour of RFC and its new incarnation, the connivance of the various footballing authorities, the complicity of the overwhelming majority of the Scottish media and the ‘alleged’ involvement of other institutions such as the political and judicial classes has been well articulated on TSFM and RTC.

    Today’s judgements on Messrs Green and McCoist are in many ways mere bagatelles compared to what has gone on previously but, to me at least, they perfectly encapsulate the utter disregard for any semblance of equity, impartiality, morality, integrity or honesty by those who pull the strings at the core of Scottish football. It is blindingly obvious that they have their agendas and will not be deflected, and the Orwellian aspect is clear for all to see. RTC, TSFM and some significant others have been magnificent in their research, analysis and articulation of all the important issues but we are all being badly let down by the SPL and SFL clubs themselves.

    Every club walks its own [largely commercial] tightrope and each naturally seeks outcomes that primarily meets its own particular needs – be that survival, silverware, the challenge of Europe or whatever. So, in parchial terms, I can sort of understand a natural reluctance for most to do anything that might compromise that position. But we are now way past the point where that is an acceptable standpoint for any of them or for the game as a whole. It would be nice, but probably unrealistic, to hope that they will change now.

    So, unless the pattern changes and we get some meaningful justice via the FTT, BDO or one of the other biggies that seem to be shuffling backwards on the burners, it could be a long hard road. However, despite an unhealthy degree of disillusionment, I believe that it remains a journey well worth taking and I applaud the heroes of this blog who are doing so much not just to keep the flame alight but also to take the struggle to the gates of those that are destroying the sport. If only we could find a ‘game-changer’ that would up the ante even further in terms of our broader and deeper impact!

  23. Note that the McCoist tribunal was actually “fast tracked”…..it only took a month

    I did think that since there is an appeal process, could anyone inside the SFA appeal against the excessive leniency? If there is no rule against this then could it possibly come from….
    Mr Regan?
    Mr Lunney?
    a club or clubs on behalf of the SFA?
    any former manager who has faced much tougher punishment?

    A long shot, I know, but short of another fans uprising, a legal-ish challenge might be the only option. There will be no outpouring of rage or disgust from the msm.

  24. Anyone know if the SFA and SPL knew about the extra Million given to the SPL when Celtic qualified for the CL? Just curious, as a Celtic supporter I’m glad it wasn’t mentioned before last nights game.
    Also questioning the integrity of referees is a capital offence but questioning the morals, honesty, integrity, impartiality and motives of every Club representative or member of judicial panels it no big deal.

  25. Can I put a question to the learned and esteemed community? I apologise if it’s been asked before. Seeing Sevco supporters decked out in kit and paraphernalia of RFC (IA) on the train back to Edinburgh after Grandaddy’s excellent gig tonight got me to thinking about history and continuation of club spirit, ethos whatever you want to call it.

    My point is this. When Wimbledon FC were shamefully extinguished by the FA and allowed to be supplanted by the Milton Keynes franchise, right-thinking fitba’ fans everywhere were outraged. The rise of AFC Wimbledon has been one of the most heart-warming stories of recent times. I for one do not grudge them listing the achievements of the oldco (for want of a better term), including an FA cup win, on their website. How can I square this feeling with my desire to see Sevco forced to start from zero trophies and have all the “achievements” of RFC (IA) consigned to the archives with asterisks/amendments where appropriate?

  26. How can I square this feeling with my desire to see Sevco forced to start from zero trophies and have all the ā€œachievementsā€ of RFC (IA) consigned to the archives with asterisks/amendments where appropriate?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    It will never be “squared”. They have zero trophies – believe me. Don’t buy or listen to the MSM. They is lion.
  27. Fans Against Corruption says
    If players were registered to the SFA, as CG claims, can they still play for TRFC??
    ————————————————————————————————————
    If CG is correct does that mean that Brechin actually played ‘SFA First XI’ as opposed to Sevco Scotland?
    29th July : Brechin v ?????
    31st July : Rangers Football Club PLC (ineligible to play in Ramsden Cup) change name to ‘RFC 2012’ and Sevco Scotland (given temporary league membership) change name to ‘The Rangers Football Club Limited’
    If ever any proof was needed that the SFA is no more than an administrative arm and protectorate of Rangers/The Rangers, the above is the clearest example that can be given.
  28. The SFA is now simply another holding company for Rangers – in this case holding registrations of free agents illegally!
  29. SFA is a joke!! for some reason? All other SPL and SFL clubs are allowing this nonsense to go on what can we do? ……… Nothing? The thing that really puzzled me (among all the major goings on) was the fact that sevco games are being refereed by grade 1 referees they are in div 3 but you’d never know it šŸ™
  30. It’s for other to debate!
    There is obviously a lot of good points on this blog as to why they are not the same Rangers. I even posted a contribution myself along the lines of “you look like Rangers, you play like Rangers, you sing songs like Rangers but we know your not Rangers. Tonight in a reflective moment I thought that I should try and understand the argument from a Rangers supporters point of view, stand in their shoes, so I decided to start again with the Stewart Regan interview on BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19065643) not a great idea because either I’m to tired or I still dont get it, they can only be a new company. Here’s why for those that have forgotten the interview.
    Mr Regan is asked a couple of times to explain things because he is the man that can bring CLARITY to it all. He is asked finally
    ” is this the same Rangers?
    in response he explain that “the share transfered over from Oldco to Newco and when a share transfers the membership of that share is transferred and all other issues are for other people to debate!
    Now if that’s not fudging the question I dont know what is, it is certainly not a concise answer. I suspect he was worried like must others who have been involved in decision making on Rangers that elements within the persecuted would not look kindly upon him, when your anti Rangers your mail must increase that’s for sure.
  31. I recall a song sung by an acapella group in the States entitled It’s a Sin to tell a lie, it’s not the one by the Ink Spots but the ending to this song sums up this whole fiasco with the SFA, CG, CO, SDM, Swally and MSM.
    So you lie and lie without even trying
    And each lie you tell will keep multiplying
    ā€˜Till the whole wide world will know youā€™re lying
    Then youā€™ll be
    Suspected
    Detected
    Rejected
    Neglected
    add to that
    Liquidated
    Redundant
    Nailed & Jailed
  32. brggsbhoy: Regan must have been legally advised to swerve that question, if there was any possibility that he could have said “yes, they are the same Rangers”, he would have been screaming it from the rooftops with glee. It would be tattooed on his forehead. We can take it as a definite that he is legally bound not to say they are one and the same. Why is he not allowed to refer them as the same Club? And what is the jibberish about the share transfer? Is he saying that no matter which football club was given that share, that club would immediately have 54 league titles? So Cove for example could have had the biggest number of titles in Scotland if they were given the RFC share?
  33. If I said , ” King Ned ” ,you would automatically know who I was referring to.
    He’s The Prince of Rats. The Sleekit Storyteller. The Liar. ” Ah didnae meen tae ” etc., etc., and all that carefully crafted legalese in his fake conciliatory rant, spouted to keep his ned pals smirking and continuing their campaigns of intimidation, pretty much unchecked, until they can return to wrecking major cities in the name of football. The wee dictator of Scottish football in his Napoleonesque poses ; cretins like Jabba et al, the presstitutes bloated on the scraps from the tables of masters of fantasy , enabling the continuation of goosestepping mindsets with their adulatory prose for the most dismal excesses of the lowest common denominator antics which continue to blight the game in Scotia.
    Only a seismic event will shake these capstones of corruption from their foundations.
    Until then, King Ned , like all overfed, overly pampered babies, will continue with his menacing demands. And be indulged in them without fear of restraint.
    “Absolutely, absolutely.”
  34. Lie big enough,long enough,loud enough and eventually people will accept it as the truth……the way of all dictatorships propaganda merchants.
    So….here we are….still not buying ANY of the big long loud lies.
    Nah.
    No way.
    No havin’ ANY of it.
    Say , do , what they like.
    They are gettin’ nailed.
  35. Regards my last post, I’m not saying Regan is legally bound as in a gagging order or the like, I’m just saying he would have definitely had it thoroughly checked by Lawyers.
  36. So….according to all a dem soots an’ broon shooz the newco is definitively the oldco. Correct?
    Then, this applies, at a minimum :
    Oldco = Newco = Ā£47,000,000 owed……right now…at the very very least.
    Pay up…or go into administration. Now. And gie us all some peace. Please?
    Thank you. And goodnight.
  37. Well the SFA have just shafted themselves re the Sevco employees punishments. If I was a manager I’d speak my mind and then tell SFA to RTF, if they fined or banned me.
  38. Just quickly re: the McCoist ‘punishment’, this is what happened to Steve Lomas after 1 game in Scottish Football…
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/15985352
    So, basically, what they are saying it is ok to cause a riot, but make an offensive gesture, aimed at no one, and we’ll ban you.
    Another point – who were the panel – I didn’t seem to notice their names being released…. I demand to know.
  39. Every manager in Scottish football given harsh punishments in the past for ‘diddy’ offences should now APPEAL them. I know they’ve all done the ‘ time for the crime ‘ but they should ask for their case to be looked at again!!!! SFA = chimps tea party (with suits) can you imagine the backlog then……..I really do give up ………. King ned indeed.
  40. Bella Ciao says:
    August 31, 2012 at 00:09
    Couldn’t agree more with your post. The bit that stands out for me is “we are all being badly let down by the SPL and SFL clubs themselves.”
    This really concerns me. Are the clubs condoning the way the ruling bodies have driven a horse and cart through the rule book or are they meekly turning a blind eye. Worse still, are some or all clubs complicit.
    The short sightedness of clubs in regard to the treatment of the new club could result in another fan backlash next season, a backlash that they might never recover from.
  41. Good Morning.
    Absolutely disgusting. I am not looking for a hanging but a bit of justice would not be asking too much.
    The SFA have proved themselves to be inept once again and will only point to the fact that it was an independent panel to get them off the hook. But we know who is pulling the strings.
    Lying, cheating, stealing, fraud, money laundering have already been condoned by the SFA and now we can also confirm that they formally approve of sedition, intimidation and threats to life and property, its ok if you are one of ra peepil.
    Bella Ciao gets it spot on. It is now time for the clubs to collectively call for an EGM and propose the appropriate motions to get rid of the corrupt snakes slithering about the corridors of Hampden.
    A revolution is needed, get rid of the SFA now!
    As for Doncaster his crass statement about the extra money being given to the SPL clubs as a result of Celtic getting into the group stages beggars belief. He is not fit for purpose.
    Keep up the pressure on your club, urge them to do the right thing or the game is dead.
  42. Hoopy 7 the game is not dead, but the honesty and integrity of the game is dead. The perpetrators of this crime are the SFA, SPL and the SFL.
    They have created Frankenstein s monster and no longer have any control over the beast. They do not know how to handle the beast and they will defend their creation no matter what carnage it creates.
    They do not do this through the anything other than fear, for the beast that they have created has now become the master and the creators have become the servant.
  43. I commented on RTC just before it was wound up that Ra Berrz would come back louder and prouder with their party tunes, and they havn’t half proven me right.
    BUT where is it going to end? will it be after a four hour drinking sess before a 16:30 kick and losing by an odd goal to a wee diddy team when they finally kick off, or even more likely getting beat at some outpost such as Elgin or Forres when they get beat and have finally had enough of the “local yokels” (no offence as i come from the Heelans as well) ripping the piss out of them for 90 minutes solid.
    People are going to get hurt, NO i’ll rephrase that, Innocent people are going to get seriously hurt, Ogilvy, Regan, Doncaster et all their blood will be on your hands!
    Instead of clamping down on these songfests you have as usual said nothing, shame on you all….
  44. If anyone is interested in a decent podcast listen might I suggest the latest offering from the Tic-Talk team ( Carluke Shamrock CSC ) . For non Celts, don’t be put off, as this podcast is a Q and A with the sports guys at STV ( @Stvgrant for one ) and it covers Scottish football in general and much of the stiff discussed here and on RTC . Also a very interesting story at the end from Grant when he recounts his time as a young reporter at Livingston.
    Look for the latest episode of Tic-Talk on http://www.spreaker.com/show/hail_hail_media
    btw Well done Hearts. Did n’t see the game, but by all accounts they were excellent. What a result that would have been had they managed to get into the next round. I think that our UEFA Europa League contestants have been very unlucky to get drawn against some very good opponents, so early in the draw. Hopefully, our improved co-efficient will allow teams a better chance of getting into the EL and CL group stages in tehf uture.
  45. No surprises in the draconian penalties handed out yesterday.
    We are now in the “Football Breaking Out” phase of the politically finagled rescue of Rangers to avoid the “Social Unrest” that someone mentioned as a scary consequence of no Rangers to Mr Regan.
    So he is a man on a political mission and the SFA have clearly embraced the demands from the politicians because it means Campbell and his team can safeguard their “establishment club”.
    The accused are clearly part of the new entity and nothing will be allowed to be done to them that might get in the way with a fast return to “Normality”.
    That’s why they were soundly spanked with the softest feather in the SFA cupboard.
    That’s why it hasn’t really made the media and none of the right questions were or will be asked.
    Yes, Politics is a dirty and corrupt business -and the “Normality” they crave with the carnage on big game days and the constant vitriol now appearing in wee places like Berwick, Brechin and Peterhead is not something that should be “normal” in Scotland.
    Not in my Scotland.
    We have a huge job in front of us.
  46. The fix is in and the war really only starts now. When media such as the BBC square things as easily as “the company running Rangers which went bust…………Rangers now being run by a new company”; it is evident that those running football in this country have won the phoney war. They didn’t foresee the new club having to start in Div 3, but that was a setback rather than a defeat. What we need to understand now is who or what we bampots are fighting. Is it the company “running Rangers”; is it the SFA. the SPL, the SFL; or is it (and I dread to say it) our own clubs which are allowing the administrators to drive a coach and horses through the integrity of our game? There is clear evidence of divide and conquer techniques being applied and we have to stay disciplined and together. Without the fans the game is nothing, and without the fans change is very unlikely to happen within our game (unless one counts restructuring the leagues to get The Rangers back to their rightful position as change). We need a clear and consistent plan…….but can we do it? I, for one, believe we can…………we must!
  47. Went looking for the “headlines” of outrage regarding the punishments handed down to CG and McCoist, no wonder Stunney didn’t do the papers today.
    I suppose with a punishment like that handed down, there was no story, move along.
    Interesting that the Hootsman has an article on Ricky Little who was also censured yesterday, but I cannot find anything on CG and FPLG.
    http://www.scotsman.com/sport/sfa-rap-for-apologetic-ricky-little-after-queen-s-park-defender-s-facebook-jibes-about-injuring-rangers-players-1-2498734
  48. Sorry if this has been covered already but I am just catching up after a couple of days and feel incensed by the ‘punishments’ handed out to McCoist and Green.
    There can be no doubt that McCoist knew how his words would be received by the worst elements of his support and that his intention was, at the very least, to make the members of the judicial panel feel very insecure and send a message of what happens to those ‘who mess with us’. It was, without doubt, the most inflamatory statement ever made by a football club manager in Scotland. My one consolation is that we will continue to see him striding up and down the touchline, shouting useless instructions to his team, while looking like a sad clone of a much older man who himself had the fashion sense of a much older man from a bygone era šŸ˜‰
    As for Green, well as a Hearts supporter I can only compare what he said, and how he’s been ‘punished’, with the treatment meted out to Vladimir Romanov on a number of occassions. In Scotland, where the word ‘bogit’ has hugely inflamatory connotations, especially when used in connection with anything to do with what used to be called the Old Firm, Charles Green is ‘censured’ for it’s use in describing the members of the SFA. A few years ago Romanov, in one of his rambling rants, described the SFA as mafia. A word that in Italy might have a similar effect to that of ‘bogit’ in Scotland but doesn’t convey anything possibly considered ‘inflamatory’ in our country. While the words used by Green would undoubtedly raise the temperature amongst RFC(IA) fans, and, justifiably, those of Celtic, a pretty dangerous mix, Romanov’s words caused no more than a few nods of agreement, a large number of shaking heads of disdain, and a lot of column inches in the MSM full of derogatory comments about foreigners. Rather than being charged with bringing the game into disrepute he could have been more justifiably charged with embarrassing Hearts supporters! What’s more, if my memory serves me right, this was the occassion the SFA, in a rather mafia style way, changed their rules so they could punish someone who was not a member of a club’s board and retrospectively hand out, what was then, the highest fine they’d ever imposed on a club!
    The SFA = bogits? Probably not.
    The SFA = mafia? They certainly dispense punishment in a similarly impartial way with special dispensation for those who are members of the ‘family’!
    The mantra of ‘they’ve been punished enough’, much pushed by the MSM, is certainly paying dividends now.
    And even now, Green and McCoist still seem unable to let these softest of punishments go without making further comments suggesting they are being harshly treated by football’s authorities.
    ‘Commenting on his censure, Green said: “The decision of the judicial panel was disappointing as they accepted there was no intention on my part to bring the game into disrepute and this is reflected in the sanction imposed.’
    I wonder if the judicial panel did say this or is this another of Green’s lies. I wonder too, if Green spouts his lies as some part of his strategy or, if in fact, he is just a compulsive liar!
  49. Tell me this – how can Charles Green try to offer Hearts immediate payment of the Ā£500K outstanding for Lee Wallace in an attempt to secure a deal for Templeton & McGowan when all Scottish football debts have already been cleared? So was that a porkie Mr Green and if so then what has happened to the SPL monies that were set aside for this purpose?
    Is Green telling us lies? Is Donkey also lying? What truth lies behind this smoke-screen?
  50. Someone, somewhere once said that football mirrored life.
    Alex Thomson has been reporting on a corrupt regime that is fighting for it’s life. This regime will defend it’s coterie of friends until the death as there is nowhere left to go for them. They are pilloried by their neighbours but all to no avail. Rules are for the little people and don’t apply to those associated with the regime. Blind eyes will be turned and tales of wrongdoing will be left uninvestigated. Those insiders that are investigated will gain the mercy of the law rather than face just punishment. In essence they believe themselves to be untouchable no matter what the rest of the world thinks.
    And sometimes he reports on Syria.
  51. Morning all
    Tic – Tock, Tic – Tock – 14 hrs to the end of the transfer window.
    STV report Templeton and McGowan offer sunk.
    (After last nights show window Templeton would be daft to head to Div 3 anyway)
    Rumours abound of Mr Charles blaming the SFA holding ex-players registrations for mucking up the number of over 21s in his SFL squad even though the list of players actually training and playing at the club shows he has spare capacity for experienced and ‘quality’ pros to be brought in.
    The other day I think remember reading mention of eight ‘quality’ players being sought by the rabble rouser.
    The official Rangers site was quoting this last night.
    ‘ā€œI certainly think we need a handful if not six, I really do because we are really low on numbers.
    ā€œBut I think we have to appreciate where we are and there is a mixed bag in terms of how people perceive us right now.”
    The next few hours will be interesting for the Sevconians.
    As with all these guys it is smoke and mirrors along with careful wordplay.
    My understanding is that whichever one of the Rangers has an obligation to pay the remainder of the Lee Wallace fee. However that is not due at the present time. Therefore while it is still needing to be seen on the books somewhere they can argue that they are not ‘in debt’ until they are legally obliged to pay it sometime next year.
    The Dundee Utd cup money was tefloned off to the SPL and put down as an mis-understanding.
    Therefore Mr Charles is sure in his own mind and his appraisal of the situation is that he has settled all the debts to Scottish Football and if I was in his shoes I can see how I may want to argue that for the sheer hell of it.
    However it would appear that the Dundee cash and the debts owed to those outwith Scotland need to be sorted out.
    Along with the current lack of action on the transfer market and no concrete news of new investors despite the earlier publicity this week (including the rabble rouser himself) it is time the Sevconians and the MSM got a hammer and an exctractor fan to see through the sophistry coming out of Ibrox.
  53. WOTTPI @ 09:50
    I wonder what odds you would get, on a dispensation being granted to Sevco, to exceed the 22 player limit, on the basis that the players whose registrations are being held by the SFA, can’t actually play for Sevco
    They’ve broken or circumvented every other rule to accommodate their pet monster, so one more won’t really bother them
    It seems quite fitting though, that Charlie should be a victim of his own greed, and attempts to manipulate employment law
    SFA is a joke!! for some reason? All other SPL and SFL clubs are allowing this nonsense to go on what can we do? ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ Nothing? The thing that really puzzled me (among all the major goings on) was the fact that sevco games are being refereed by grade 1 referees they are in div 3 but youā€™d never know it
    ——————————————–
    That’s because Sevco need “grade 1” decisions – (as per last week’s disallowed goal).
    The SFA are determined to keep them in the manner to which they are accustomed
  55. Events of the last year or so, and this summer in particular, have confirmed beyond any shadow of a doubt the sordid corruption at the heart of Scottish Football. We now have to add the outcomes of these alleged disciplinary meetings to the time line of events demonstrating the institutional bias towards the establishment club in this country.
    Are we the only nation to have experienced this problem? Of course not. Various countries, often under some form of totalitarian regime, e.g. Franco’s Spain, have seen one club held up as a favoured son and given unfair advantage over all others to reflect the power of their benefactor. I am appalled that we are able to so clearly identify such a disgrace in our country today.
    Where can we look for justice and radical reconstruction to eliminate such bias? FIFA? UEFA? Sadly not I fear. These international bodies have nearly as chequered a history as our own inglorious SFA and are ruled by adoraton of Mammon to at least as severe a degree.
    What about our politicians? If anything they have revealed themselves to be part of the problem and cannot be trusted (I was going to add further qualification to this sentence but…).
    Who is left? The clubs and the fans. Preaching to the converted here, but again, we have seen clear demonstration this summer that we can only expect our clubs to act in the best interests of the game (as opposed to their own, perceived, short-term best interest) if fans apply sufficient pressure. I would have to note some honourable exceptions here. Turnbull Hutton, for example, strikes me as a man of unimpeachable integrity when it comes to football governance.
    I am still uncomfortable about asking fans to financially punish their clubs at this time. I do understand why others feel this is necessary (I can feel myself drifting in this direction). Clearly, however, there needs to be pressure applied to the members of the Scottish Football Association – it is an association after all – to take the necessary steps to put their house in order. By this we have to mean votes of no confidence in the current batch of senior officers. The SPL and possibly elements of the SFL should be thinking along similar lines too.
    I don’t attend club football. I do however attend Scotland games at Hampden and I am (currently) a member of the travel club. Mrs Zilch is a huge fan. I am coming to the conclusion that I cannot in good conscience continue to go to Scotland matches as to do so signals not just my support of our national team and the country itself, but sadly also the SFA. Not only does this upset me greatly, it is not being well received by Mrs Zilch.
    So my appeal is as follows. Please, please, please. Can we as a group work together to engineer the elimination of the corrupt officials at the SFA so that I can avoid being strung up by my tartan scarf by Mrs Zilch?
    Can we come up with a carefully constructed action plan that could be adopted by fans of all clubs to apply pressure on their clubs? Might be difficult to achieve consensus? Maybe we could create a page with multiple suggestions for personal activities that could have an impact? A subversive’s smorgasbord if you like?
    This is important. Mrs Zilch wants to dispose of my Nessie hat in a most unpleasant manner…
  56. If I was an SFA or SFL employee at whatever level I would advise battoning down the hatches after the deadline tonight ,if commandant Green and colonel McCoist dont get what they want by tonight the tanks will be out and the zombies will be on standby to create havoc over the next 12 months, every failure will be directed at these people,and hell mend them as they had the opportunity to correct so many wrongs and after yesterdays groundbreaking punishments well it is now open season for the Green army ,be afraid ,be very afraid .
  57. This morning a lot of us are again let down by the inept SFA.
    However lets all keep our chins up and keep fighting against
    Sevco and their puppet master the SFA.
    We need to increase our efforts and expose the sham that is
    Sevco and the SFA.
    For justice and if nothing else for Mrs Zilch šŸ˜‰
  58. “Campbell, can I ask a silly question” asked Stewart with a puzzled look on his face.
    “Fire away Stewart, always glad to be of assistance” said Campbell
    “What are the rules regarding Rangers”
    “Sit down, this may take some time. Once upon a time there was……………”
    Two hours later.
    “So we just make them up as we go along” said Stewart, with a sigh of relief
    “We knew you were the right man for the job” said Campbell, as he laughed heartily.
    Re the Wallace transfer money. All the money that RFC(IA) owed to Hearts became immediately payable on 14th February when they went into administration.
    The “new” payment schedule appartently agreed with TRFC will have been negotiated with the SFA/SPL as part of the odious 5-way agreement that allowed their participation in the SFL. I suspect that Hearts were not party to that arrangement, but were content to receive the full amount in staged payments, rather than pennies in the Ā£ from a liquidator.
  60. If Templeton and/or McGowan end up at Ibrox later today then for me it’s an absolute certainty the Rangers are privvy to some shenanigans that will see them playing top-flight football next season. Templeton is on the fringes of International recognition and McGowans has just earned his first start for the Socceroo’s. Your not telling me that 2 or 3 seasons of SFL level football is going to enhance their international prospects espcially as both these young players are about to enter their peak years.
    To a certain extent I can understand why SPL pros like Black, Kyle & Shiels would go there but 2 of our most promising youngsters who could easily hold their own in English football and/or any SPL club and earn the same or more than at The Rangers in the fourth division.
    Sorry but if that happens then something simply doesn’t add up!
  61. Congratulations to Hearts on a great performance,maybe that will shut a few mouths about the state of the game up here.My only wish now is that they draw Sevco in the League Cup,Hearts will shred Sevco based on the game last night.
    Thats sounds about right.
    The fact remains that in Mr Charles eyes and probably legally due to the aforementioned renegotiation he owes Hearts nothing at this time.
    Unless Hearts really need the cash now (I know every little hepls!!) I don’t see how the Wallace money was much of an insentive. Surely after the praise comiung after the Liverpool games there will be a Championship club or lower EPL club keeping an eye on Templeton’s development and possibly come in a more realistic offer in the future.
  64. If everything that is going on is downright corruption, and it sure looks that way, then non-corrupt members of SFA boards have no option in conscience and in decency but to resign their positions. As suggested on here, an EGM is needed to consider ways and means to clear out the rotten fiefdom k.a. The Scottish Football Association.
  65. Sorry for OT but it would appear that Del Piero coming to Glasgow was just ‘flan in the atmosphere’ according to twitter.
    “Italian football expert James Horncastle: “Sydney FC chairman Scott Barlow has confirmed the signing of Alessandro Del Piero to the Sydney Morning Herald: ‘This is huge for Sydney FC, huge for the A-League and huge for Australian football. We feel honoured that Alessandro has decided to play for Sydney FC and we share his excitement that a move to Sydney FC will create a lasting legacy for football in this country.”
    Ach, he was too old anyway.
    ____________________________________________________________________-
    So, in Greenspeak, ‘we have agreed to pay’ (not saying that was his words but rather what appears to be the truth of the situation) = ‘we have no debt’, and ‘we have no debt’ is only corrected to ‘we have agreed to pay’ after the big season ticket sales push is winding down/over. I wonder which would be longer, a list of Green’s statements which later prove to be factually inaccurate, or a list of statements that are undoubtedly true!
    Assuming now that Hearts haven’t recieved their money, Ā£800,000, yet, I wonder how much of a factor/tactic this might have been in trying to persuede Hearts to part with Templeton and McGowan. If Rangers had paid the full amount, or at least say Ā£500,000, then Hearts would clearly be in a better position to turn down any offer, from any club. Whether or not Sevco are successfull in buying either or both, I know the reports say they’ve failed, how can it be that a club who can’t pay their debt to Hearts in full can still offer a reported Ā£1.3m to them for 2 more players? It would make indisputable sense if the SFA had said to Green that his club must repay a debt for the purchase of a member club’s player before they can ever again buy any member club’s player. I wonder too, what lies Green told the SFA regarding how much funds were available to buy players (I’d be prepared to give some credit to the SFA that they probably believed Sevco would only be signing out of contract players) when pleading that he couldn’t afford to pay the football debts immediately.
    Taking it a step further, had Sevco been made to repay all these football debts before SFA membership was granted, at least to the SPL clubs, then not only would they have had less cash to splash around, Hearts, at least, might have been in a position to offer contracts to some of the players that Sevco were targeting (Sevco wouldn’t be in a position to know what difference it might make to Hearts, unless, of course, someone at the SFA was passing such info to them!!).
    At every stage, the actions of the SFA that have, at first, seemed to hold some level of ‘not bending over completely’, have eventually proven to be weak and insipid and a message to Green that he can get away with anything (everything) he wants.
  67. I fired off some emails yesterday about the Scottish football association office bearers and the disciplinary procedures to Scottish football club chairmen and just received first reply.
    Here is one quote “McCoist has been a disgrace throughout this whole debacle…….and continues to be so. And I won’t even comment on Green”
    Another quote reads “I can’t but agree with your comments re the present office bearers……but I guess that’s a well-known fact now! I’m sure I am on their radar for a touch of retribution!”
    Perhaps we all need to let the clubs know about what we think of the “custodians” of our game and pressure the clubs into action with all our assistance
  68. I’ve read two newspapers this morning and looked to see the reporting on McCoist and Greens charge of bringing the game into disrepute.I had to look long and hard to find anything.In both papers about two column inches covered it.Nothing to see here,move along now. If it had been a certain other manager and chief executive,they would have been done up big time and the media would be having a field day.
  69. When will the text of the Green McCoist JP decision be published? Surely we should know the reasons for the apparently contrary conclusion of the Panel. Or will this be another secret?
  70. Can the minutes of the hearing be requested using FOI act?
    From what I have seen from reports, McCoist was found guilty on the first 2 charges, the 3rd (and most important one) is simply ignored. ????????????
  71. Following the farcial disciplinary decisions by the SFA with regards to Charlie Boy and Sally,
    there is now irreputable evidence that the SFA are totally corrupt and will do absolutely anything whether it is within their rules or not, to ensure that anybody or anything associated with the Rangers Tribute Club are exonerated from any form of punishment.
    When is someone in Scotland going to challenge this blatant institutional bias towards one member club and all their officials, players, etc.
    Unless justice is applied equally to all within football, there is very little point of this sport continuing within Scotland.
  72. I’ve been away so still catching up. Did anything ever come out of the Supporters Direct conference? I think it was held at Falkirk in July?
