Did CG shoot himself in the foot, by saying clearly that he got the bargain of the century when he got whatever it is he bought, for a fraction of it’s value? I know that I am paraphrasing and interpreting what was said, but is there any other way to hear it. BDO will surely have heard what the rest of us did.

This is what I can’t get my head around.

Charles Green isn’t stupid (presumption), why would he open himself up by stating things like “the properties are valued at £80m”, unless his backside was covered?

Yes, you heard it. But it was I think, a historical reference to the situation as Whyte was taking over. Not to the FTTT decision!!
It had me going for a second or two as well.

He links that statement with going down to 3rd div & recent on-field troubles, I’m not so sure he is using a historical reference.

It could be wishful thinking on my part

Just finished watching Craig Whyte’s interview and if someone could confirm this; did I not hear Chris McLaughlin say that “just recently, Rangers have received the big tax bill”?

Around 29.15 minutes into the interview

Curious that the match v Queens Park has the tagline “Original Glasgow Derby”

“Since at least as early as 1840 ‘derby’ has been used as a noun in English to denote any kind of sporting contest. A local derby is just a sporting contest between local rivals”.

Queens Park had played Thistle F.C & Cowlairs many times before Oldco’s formation, but in terms of a “local derby”, I would argue that Dumbreck (cited as Queens Park’s first Scottish FA match) is closer to Hampden than Ibrox.

Just sayin like!

I’m slightly perturbed by the silence down Govan way, wrt LNS.

A week to go and no grandstanding from Charlie – who has never knowingly missed an opportunity in the past to play to the hordes.

So why is it so quiet now, when they were gnashing their teeth loudly not so long ago that ‘their titles would never be stripped from them’ ?

Does Charlie know something the Internet Bampots don’t about the LNS Inquiry ?

Or is it a deliberate change in strategy to a more conciliatory approach ?

Getting confused again !
———————————————

Maybe Mr Charles will be using the “we’re not the same club” defence!

Now that his investors/creditors been paid back?

Or have they?

Must be a large Pub, or very expensive for a pint !

Must be the same pub that Campbell Ogilvie frequents on his legnedary “good nights out”!
