Q. What does Scottish Football and the Scottish Referendum have in common ?
A. They share the same media.

However . . .yesterday, the Sunday Herald declared itself in favour of Independence
which leads me to say;

HOUSTON – WE HAVE A PROBLEM

Q. Can the Sunday Herald be a ‘Nationalist’ Paper on the front pages
while at the same time be a Unionist paper on the football pages.

Can the Sunday Herald say on the front pages – The Emperor has no clothes,
While on the football pages say, in unison with every other paper in Scotland – The Emperor’s new clothes!

(For those who have been away on business or holidays for the past two years – The Unionist club, RFC(IL) went into Liquidation in 2012. A new club was formed thereafter.
No mainstream media outlet in Scotland will say in public that that is the case.)

(THE SUNDAY HERALD MAY 4 2014 : THE PRIZE IS A BETTER COUNTRY
“The media should not speak with one voice”
(Editorial. Page 3. Para.T))

Writing in today’s Guardian on the theme of ‘The Third Scotland’,
(the piece is reproduced in Bella Caledonia)

Gerry Hassan, in para 5, says

“Glasgow Rangers FC, Scotland’s dominant and most successful club blew up, faced liquidation and is now working its way up through the lower leagues”

There ongoing silence on their plans to tackle the consequences of past poor governance and future proofing is puzzling.
Even a statement that they are aware of serious issues of trust and honesty besetting the game that they intend to address would be a start.

Have those in charge at Ibrox and Hampden had a Road to Damascus conversion experience recently?

Might I suggest, Auldheid, that it’s already too late for ‘issues of trust and honesty’.

The shocks, surprises and headlines of the future
are being created today behind the scenes and in complete secrecy.

Their silence is a sign that they are busy.
That includes being busy about things they wish to keep secret.
Like finding the cash to pay their bills – if indeed TRFC’s bills are being paid.

The awarding of the 2 cup semis to Ibrox is significant not only in itself
but also as a pointer to what else the SFA might do to support TRFC financially.

I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if ‘ The ongoing silence on their plans to tackle the consequences of past poor governance and future proofing’ continues well into the future.

As for the implications for Scottish Football in an Independent Scotland . . . . .

An Honest Game? Convince Us.

In my opinion only the chairmen of the clubs can rid the game of the compromised and the corrupt.

In my opinion only the FANS can rid the game of the compromised and the corrupt.

Only a united and organised nationwide fanbase – including Scotland fans –
has any chance of forcing reform at the SFA,

and that by means of staying away from International matches as a first step
and then Cup matches,
and so on till the SFA cry ‘enough’.

Is it going to happen ? I would love to think so, but I don’t believe it will.

For that reason the SFA and Sevco will stand all day every day
and continue to piss on the fans, just like they’ve been doing for decades.

The Chairmen aren’t going to sort this – not in a hundred years.

If Scottish Football is as corrupt as some on here obviously think it is, I have to ask myself why they bother with it.

C,
Corruption can be sorted so as to enable the re-emergence of the beautiful game – which the fans love.

TSFM login arithmetic –

9 – 6 = 3

Sort Scottish Football arithmetic –

Sevco – SFA = 0

Why don`t the MSM ask the SFA if they have made a loan to TRFC
equivalent to the fee they will receive for two semi finals?
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Why stop at ‘equivalent’ ?

After all TRFC is the sine qua non of Scottish Football.

The semis fees would make a perfect cover for SFA funding.

Nah, they wouldn’t do that would they ?

Without batting an eyelid.

William Hill have a team called Rangers at odds of 10/3 to win the Scottish Cup.

But, Dear Reader,
Q. Do you think ‘Rangers’ are being assisted in their bid to win the SC ?

TU = YES
TD = NO
