When RFC went into administration I (stupidly) thought it was going to be a run of the mill insolvency operation.
I spoke to man who had been at a high level at Motherwell FC and two people close to the action at Dundee FC.
I kept in touch with the three of them throughout those months and they were amazed-jaws on floor-at what Duff & Phelps were doing or attempting to do.
Daniel Cousin….. 😮

I have no idea apropos his timing.
However I think we can all be clear about his motivation and that is revenge on Charlie and the boys.
He feels that he was done over in the Sevco 5088 wheeze.

I share the general scepticism of any claims made by CW.
However he broke cover this week to make his bold claim to someone in Glasgow he has a past association with (for source protection I cannot be more specific).
Let’s see…..

Phil, it’s nothing personal. Just debatable. ‘Oh dear’, that’s just lazy.
Of course, it’s personal.
Your problem is easily solved though, just don’t read my site.
I have been here for a couple of days and I have answered the questions of other posters.
I hope that I did so with precision and courtesy.
That was certainly my intention
However, it didn’t take long for an ad hominem tone to emerge.
That is your anonymous contribution.
I get the message and it is a personal one.
I’m out.

The Ibrox klan is a self-selecting subculture.
They can watch a football match without indulging in TBB of the Famine Song.
They them term “klan” would not be apposite.
Howeber the woder issue is that they feel sufficently socially authorised to do so with impunity is the real story for me as a journalist.
The local media have failed on this issue every time it has been presented to them by yet another outpouring from the Ibrox customer base.
When the Fourth Estate fails in their duty of oversight then bad stuff usually happens and continues to happen.

And I was replying to one specific thing.
“I would doubt that many would align themselves with the KKK …”
They may not “align themselves” with the kkk, they may even be horrified by the suggestion.
However their actions are similar, they have simply chosen a different target.
The person they lionize in their song, about other people’s blood, certainly aligned himself with the kkk, and with fascism.
Aligned in that he was a card carryig member of the KKK and the British Union of Fascists.
His politics are not in dispute.
Moreover, his street gang was informed by that worldview.
It was the Catholic Irish of Glasgow who were the people of colour for TBB.

I did not “get the date wrong”.
You are referring to the Church & Nation Committee report of  29th May 1923 chaired by John White.
Incidentally, he was made Moderator of the General Assembly two years later.
That report is an appendix in Minority Reporter.
In 1953 (30 years later) in ANOTHER report to the General Assembly, the Irish in Scotland were referred to as “…an alien race…”
Therefore, I was factually correct in my piece.
