Just a general observation, about life in general.

I am thinking that a duped person can actually be the ‘duper’ ?

And that mibbees, sometimes, the wrong person can appear in a dock?

Generally speaking.

Someone else is now celebrating ‘6iar’ then ?!

Keef has retained his ‘Sports Journalist of the Year Award’ for an incredible 6th time.

He’s rubbish at his sports job, but he must be bl00dy brilliant at giving…something I couldn’t possibly mention here!

[Does Keef collect his Awards from a ‘Lucky Bag’ ? I think we should be told. That’s one for the more mature Bampots.]

Happy Friday.  01

THAT Debate, and the Beauty of Hindsight
Still nothing on the SFA website about fans’ incidents over the last 2 weekends;

– fans, [who have pled guilty to], accosting a player on the field, and another making racist gestures
– dodgy singing
– pitch invasion

However, the SFA website does manage to include details of the upcoming England match.

“William Hill Stand – £60 adult/£20 junior*
East Stand – £45 adult/£15 junior*
* under-16s
All transactions are subject to postage + £3 booking fee”

So a family of 4 might have to fork out c. £160 + £12 = £172
Add in pies, Bovril, programme…a conservative £200 ?

To watch the latest disappointing Scotland team, [and typically including several players I just don’t recognise] ?

…and to contribute to the overblown salaries of blatantly corrupt blazers at Hampden ?!

What would happen if someone at Celtic called their team off the park when the song book is in full flow particularly when songs or other offensive actions being sung or acted out by Mr Fotheringham’s “one idiot”* in the crowd would be deemed offensive if the words black, jewish, muslim, homosexual, transgender etc. were inserted instead of the normal targets?…
===========================

Initially, I think it would be ‘tit for tat’, with various teams walking off several times in the first few meetings.

But then the fans themselves, IMO, would quickly become fed up with the interruptions – and would fairly quickly be conditioned to behave and drop the dodgy songs and behaviour.

Otherwise, why would you waste your money on watching disjointed, frustratingly elongated [or even abandoned ?] matches ?

When teams in foreign leagues start to routinely walk off the park when players are subjected to racist attacks, then IMO, it’s a given that Scottish football would then be compelled to deal with unacceptable fans’ behaviour once and for all.

[I remember the Scottish govt. campaign launched about 10+ years ago, [?] with anti-racism TV adverts calling for Scottish people to respect residents from other nations / cultures.  First time I saw one, my immediate reaction was; “What about the nonsense in the West of Scotland then ? Does that not count?” IIRC, the govt got pelters for that faux pas, but the TRFC nonsense seems to have been exacerbated since 2012.]

Just a wild idea…

But, what if King declared himself bankrupt?
[Well in a court recently, he did claim he was ‘penniless’].

Of course anyone who knows of the glib and shameless one would assume King would have assets hidden, or in his wife’s name – a la wee Bazza?

Would bankruptcy effectively kill off the TOP sanctions?

At this point it seems that King’s reputation is ruined in Scotland – and with the bears and even with the SMSM?

King’s time is up playing charades as ‘the Rangers saviour’, and he must – you would think – be thinking about preserving his remaining wealth as he approaches retirement…?  09

Mibbees after 20 years of failure, the national team and the SFA don’t deserve a dedicated, national stadium?

And Hampden is simply not worth keeping as a football venue for mainly sentimental reasons, IMO.

CO, I think Phil’s scoop about the manner of Nicholl’s appointment deserves a: Wow Just Wow!
It displays how dysfunctional the management structure at Ibrox has become, and you would think, it is a massive red flag.
[Apart from having no cash.]

I also have my fingers and toes crossed that in 2018 my £20 bet on TRFC finishes bottom 6 comes in – with the help of an Admin. event.

[Thanks to fellow Bampots for the tip: interestingly Sky wouldn’t accept a £50 bet for a 150/1 long shot…]

All the best for 2018 Bampots!

And just have to add this headline from the esteemed DR, so it must be true;

“Bluenoses out of joint as Rangers pub to be turned into gay sauna’s bar”

Couldn’t possibly comment on the article…but a couple of sentences did jump out as sounding familiar;

“…Annie Millers was one of Glasgow’s most hardcore Rangers haunts and it was a real shock for a lot of fans when it closed last year.
A lot of drinkers were hoping that someone might rescue the pub so it could reopen as it was before. This definitely won’t happen now…

Guessing it’s quiet as the Bampots have been out watching the footy…or getting dragged around the shops by their better half for the sales ?!

Wife told me last night about the Dembele ‘sale’.
Immediate reaction was that it was nonsense from the SMSM.

There ‘could’ be some truth in it: e.g. an off-the-record tip from either CFC or Dembele’s agent, perhaps to simply instigate a bidding war ?

But, my initial reaction to any big story is to always doubt the SMSM’s veracity: the lamb munchers were exposed a long time ago…and it’s a surprise that the DR in particular is still on sale in hard copy format.

If he is sold for X millions, how will the SMSM / Level42 spin that as ‘bad news’ for CFC…and bad for Scottish football ?  22
