Fairy Nuff, Smallteaser. You certainly teased me there! From my post you may have deduced that I am still significantly teased off with Mr. Johnston’s “fair” approach. He didn’t take the Killie fans to the fair; he took them to the cleaners! In future, please do appropriate smiley to indicate when you are in tongue in cheek mode! My keyboard will not survive another diatribe from me.
===========================================================
Apologies Haywire, I never have done Smiley things, each to their own sense of humour etc.
If I had been fishing for a Killie fan, you certainly put your view across.
I, on the other hand, am not a Killie fan so therefore it would not have been fair for me to criticise M Johnstone.
The gist of the post was that the removal of Old Firm reps would lead to a fairer SFA, I doubt it.
You end up with a gang of X against Celtic and any decisions would be seen as that by the fan.
I am glad you represented the views of Killie fans so well, keep it up, and good luck with the buyout.

Yes that is peculiar in all football let alone purely in Slovenia. Had the demise of Mura happened in a larger country with more than 3 leagues, then I doubt they would be hosting Lazio tonight.

Could you imagine if Kilmarnock & Dunfermline stepped aside to allow Rangers an entry to the SPL, it may be common place abroad it would kill football in this country.

That was interesting, I then wondered how they managed to find themselves in the top league when only set up:-

“ND Mura 05 was founded on 16 June, 2005.[1][2][3] The club emerged after the dissolution of NK Mura, a club which played in the Slovenian 1.SNL league for many years, but went bankrupt and was dissolved in 2004.[4][5] However, ND Mura 05 is legally not considered to be the successor of NK Mura and the statistics and honours of the two clubs are kept separate by the Football Association of Slovenia and the Association of 1. SNL.[1][6]

Mura 05 finished the 2010–11 Slovenian Second League on fourth place, behind Aluminij, IB Interblock, and Dravinja. However, all three clubs declined promotion to the Slovenian PrvaLiga due to financial reasons. As the next club on the table Mura 05 received and accepted an invitation to join the top division.[7]”

“By fostering a seige mentality then there is little reason to believe that a relatively lucrative and successful share issue of 49% isn’t feasible?”
====================================================
Don’t know about them buying 49% worth of shares, they had no interest in buying into the club before.
How much would 49% be worth?? If the whole shebang is worth £10 million would the share issue be for £4.9 million?
For any club in Scotland with limited income and no European place for 4 seasons this would appear rather high.
Would the debenture holders who have just been stiffed have the same notion to throw away other money?
Would the big investors be interested in a minority share and no place on the board?
Is there any other amounts that have to be thrown in along with the £10 million, ticketus, CW etc?
Even with no debt, the club still have substantial overheads and a very large growing wage bill which cannot be reduced due to the transfer embargo.
I think there is a lot of detail to be released before any assumptions on share take up can be made.
2 defeats in a row at the wrong time kills everything and so does 10 five nil victories.
Its funny how people make out Celtic will wrap up the SPL early doors and the fans will have no interest yet do not see the same thing happening in SFL3.
Will 30k ST holders turnm up at Ibrox on Christmas Eve when the league is finshed?? Yes they will have the money but the interest will be gone.

smallteaser – and you call yourself that
I’m fairly confident that what I said was fairly “reflective” of opinion on the blog. If it transpired that it was not, there would be little point in hanging around.

I guess what you are saying here is that anyone who disagreed with your point of view, either on the banner issue last night, or in fact anything else you say, should really leave the blog?
The blog appeared to be split 50/50 last night so I don’t agree that your comments were reflective of the blog as a whole.
Should I stay or should I go? Is there any point in “hanging around”?

You can ask, but I won’t be posting under two aliases. There is no conflict as far as I can see.

TSFM, may I ask where you are posting your own point of view rather than the overall viewpoint of a moderator of TSFM you post under a different name.
If you use the TSFM for posting personal comments then that may be construed as the view of the whole site, which it may not be.

So it’s to be Adidas next season? All shaping up nicely for potential shareholders. I wonder if any of the shareholders in old Rangers will be buying a stake in the new? It would seem pointless since Charles insists it’s the same Rangers. And that must be true, you can tell by glints in t’eyes

41 points posted on CG’s Canadian speech yesterday most of which are lies and can be picked holes in and the DR goes with this one!!! Yet another bit of positive spin. I wonder if they asked how much it was worth…..sorry could be worth, doesn’t look like it.
Maybe they asked Adidas how they felt….. doesn’t look like it.

Just as an aside. In a classic piece of whatabouery:

A banner saying “Paedo Free in Div 3″ was unveiled at a ground recently.

I do not find it offensive although many will.

As there was no caricature of anyone wearing team colours it could have been meant for anyone, why would you take offence??
