I note some more anti-DCK posturing in the press this morning. It made me wonder who (well, not who, because we know who that is, don’t we readers?), but on whose behalf those briefings are being made?

Could it be that DCK is doing it himself? Is he looking for a way out?

@ The_Steed:

The disciplinary charge is poorly worded. It should have read ‘by attempting to strike, or striking an opponent’.

There’s only two people who know what contact (if any) was made & the panel chose not to believe the Saintees player that he was punched.

The fact that Kiernan struck out at Anderson on purpose is undeniable.

It really should not have have been a question of ‘contact’, but of ‘intent’.

Ok, own up!Which Bampot authored Keef’s latest article about King?   Was shocked to read a Keef article without sighing / laughing / shaking head.
Of course there has to be an agenda for this article to be so critical of the absent chairman.TRFC not paying their PR bills…?

If you want a ‘sighing/laughing/shaking head’ read, may I suggest you read Allan Patullo’s ‘TRFC Buzzword Bingo’ interview with Stuart McCall in today’s Hootsmon?

That Herald article is classic SMSM ‘half a story’…

‘Rangers’ biggest earner gets a £53k bonus in a £233k salary – as row erupts over former execs pay’

There’s no explanation that Robertson is RIFC’s employee (is he actually a board member, as he’s not on the list on the RIFC website?) & thus as MD likely to be that company’s highest earner. There will be a score or so employees of TRFC who will have higher salaries, including the manager, his assistant & many first team players.

It’s poorly written trash & can easily be construed as an attack on Robertson, whose jaiket seems to have been on a shoogly peg for a while.

Just watching a clip from Sky Sports where Davie Provan was asked what would it take for Rangers to close the gap on Celtic. “Hard cash”, was his answer, but no insight as to where it will come from. Just like Walter Smith, Ally McCoist, Willie Henderson etc.

I wonder why people are scared to point out Rangers were never really rich, that they just had a very friendly bank, then adopted very dodgy tax avoidance practices…

I suspect the only time that any form of Rangers had ‘hard cash’ in the last thirty years was in the immediate aftermath of Chuck’s IPO.

I wonder what happened to it?

I noticed a link to this article elsewhere & I think it’s worth sharing:

One can often gauge what the current popular view is by reading the scribblings in the daily record. In particular those of Keith Jackson…

You have to remember that the Monday morning ‘Keich By Keith’ is an ‘opinion’ piece, rather than reportage.

His opinion, going by today’s column, is rather confused.

I read Ewen Murray’s report last evening. It’s a decent piece, particularly when compared to BBC Scotland’s on-line match report. However, like many, he’s in denial or ignorance about the songbook. The BTL comments are worth reading as well.

Thanks to those who replied to my query of 1704 yesterday.

Without prejudice, I’ll just leave this here.

I’m sure the majority of readers can work out what I mean.
