The Immortality Project

The Immortality Project – or – Death and Denial – Guest Post by Humble Pie

Death has a tendency to put everything else into perspective.

My family recently suffered a bereavement. It wasn’t a sudden death but it was still far too quick and far too soon for any of us to get our heads around. As our loved one’s illness progressed, each of us, in our own way, began to prepare for the inevitable. In the end, whilst it was not unexpected, it was nevertheless very traumatic, for everyone concerned.

Grief is a strange and often debilitating set of emotions. Even now, a few months on, when the intense sadness and tears have given way (mostly) to disbelief, we still find it hard to fully comprehend what has happened. We might never completely ‘come to terms’ with that fact, however, we do accept that it DID happen, much as we all wish that it hadn’t.

Many of you will be familiar with the Kubler-Ross model of the five stages of grief; Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Well, I am aware of having experienced each of these stages over the last year, as well as a couple of others which I wasn’t prepared for (a lot of personal reflection, a little guilt and a not insignificant amount of pain).

It seems to me that the Rangers supporters have been purposefully ensnared in an interminable cycle of the first two stages of KR; alternating between the denial of the death of Rangers and anger at what they feel has been done to their beloved club then back again to denial. This, as any first year psychology student will tell you, is a very unhealthy state of mind which, if not addressed, can quickly lead to physiological and behavioural problems.

At its lowest level, for example, people throughout the ages have continued to set places at the dinner table for their long-dead loved ones. They know in their hearts that the person has died but are comforted by the familiarity of doing the same things that they have always done. However, in extreme cases people have even kept and maintained the actual cadavers of the deceased, dressed them, talked to them and watched TV with them, in a state of absolute denial.

In archaeology, accepting and recognising the inevitability of death through conducting ceremonial burial services is considered to be one of the very first signs of a civilised people. You see, grief is a uniquely human and cathartic process i.e. it can produce ‘a feeling of being cleansed emotionally, spiritually, or psychologically as a result of an intense emotional experience’.

In short, grief is ultimately a good thing which leads you through a series of natural psychological steps towards acknowledgement of an unalterable situation, allowing you to take stock, re-evaluate and start to move on with your own life in a positive way.

That is what should have happened with the fans of the old Rangers.

Instead, this ‘never-ending cycle of the undead’ was positively encouraged by those many unscrupulous individuals who saw a way of making a fast buck from maintaining the ‘Then, Now and Forever’ illusion. Worse still, this resurrection fantasy is being facilitated by the very people whom we have entrusted to stop this kind of thing from happening in the first place. If only the SFA or the MSM had told them the truth, they might have had a chance to actually face up to the situation.

Unfortunately, these two bodies were so complicit in Rangers demise, so right up to their necks in the brown smelly stuff, that they were too afraid to face the inevitable anger which would have rightly come their way. So, they made up grim fairy tales to feed to the bereaved souls about non-existent ‘holding companies’, the ethereal ‘club’ which transcends death and by suggesting that it is ‘all a matter of opinion’.

Ernest Becker, in his 1973 Pulitzer Prize winning book ‘The Denial of Death’, posits that “human civilization is no more than an elaborate, symbolic defence mechanism against the knowledge of our own mortality”. This fear of death acts as an emotional and intellectual response to our basic survival instincts.

‘By embarking on what Becker refers to as an ‘immortality project’, in which a person creates or becomes part of something which they feel will last forever, the person feels they too have become part of something eternal; something that will never die, compared to their physical body that will die one day’. When this ‘immortality project’ is threatened it leads inevitably to fear, depression, loss of identity and sense of purpose.

In that case, the initial reaction of the fans to the imminent demise of Rangers was entirely predictable and understandable. “No way, this can’t happen to us, we are the people”. However, as soon as the full realisation of their club’s inexorable slide into liquidation began to sink in, came the expected anger. But towards whom should their righteous wrath be directed?

“Who did this to us, who are these people?” they cried. “Not I”, said Sir Murray of the Mint, “for I was duped”, “Nor I”, said President Ogilvie, “for it was never my role”. “Nor I”, said Mr Smith, “for I never knew nothing or nothing”. “Not us”, squealed the media monkeys in unison, “for that’s what we were told”, “Nor us”, said the SPL “it was nothing to do with us”.

“Who then?, we demand to know who these people are”, howled the horrified hordes. “T’was the Whyte knight”, they all concurred, “he alone caused this calamity”. “And the bampots”, sneered the slimy slug. “And the taxman”, puffed the pundits. “And the unseen hand of Mr Lawwell”, whispered the bilious bears from the safety of their den.

There were even those who tried to warn them, not least Hugh Adam, Phil Mac and RTC but they didn’t want to know. Even when their very own Messrs Green and Traynor spelt out, in no uncertain terms, that liquidation meant the death of their club, still they chose wilful ignorance. The MSM, with access to the same information, encouraged them to keep their heads firmly ensconced, ostrich stylee, on the banks of that ironically blue and white river in Egypt. Which just goes to show ‘you can lead a lamb to knowledge but you can’t make it think’

The point though is that the Rangers fans have heard the truth and once you have heard something you cannot unhear it. Even if you reject it, even if you deny it, it gnaws away at the back of your mind, infecting your subconscious.

Almost a year ago, I posted the following on TSFM. http://theinternetbampot.wordpress.com/2012/09/ in which I postulated that the SFA were too frightened to say anything which might imply that The Rangers were a new club.

Looking back at that post, I am amazed at how little the landscape has changed.

A year on and it has become apparent that the corporate cancer that destroyed Rangers has continued to metastasize in its new host. Charlotte’s revelations may have shown us that the rabbit hole goes much deeper than we first suspected. However, in my humble opinion, the information provided has only succeeded in ‘poisoning the well’ and deflecting attention from the main culprits in this disaster. Layer upon layer of complexity has been added to an already opaque story and the majority of her utterances appear designed to engage the more enquiring minds on this forum and consume their excess mental energy.

I know that some people are bored with this ‘debate’ but, to my mind, the single most important step for the redemption of Scottish football is the fan’s acceptance that The Rangers, who currently ply their trade in the SPFL First Division, are a new club. Once they have accepted that then everything else that they perceive has happened to them will begin to make sense. They will see that rather than everyone having a fly kick at them when they were down, most were actually trying to help them. It will also dawn on them that the very people who have been telling them that there is an anti-Rangers conspiracy against them are actually the same ones who are screwing them over.

Rangers were not relegated to div 3, The Rangers applied as a new club and were granted entry into the bottom tier of Scottish football. They are not banned from European competition, merely ineligible as a new club without the requisite financial ‘history’. Any reference to ‘rulings’ from ECA, ASA, the BBC Trust and any internal or so-called ‘independent’ enquiries are completely irrelevant, as none of these bodies are the final arbiter in this case. Scots Law is clear that there is no distinction between club and company after incorporation, when the company dies the club dies with it. That is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact.

Sooner or later The Rangers fans are going to realise this fact and when they do, there will be hell to pay. Until they do, their new club can never become truly cleansed. Only then can they move on and only then can they join together with fans of other clubs to root out the real cancer at the heart of Scottish football.  That’s why the MSM and the SFA are still petrified to say anything. In the meantime the real creators of this disaster are sneakily positioning themselves further and further away from the scene of the crime.

I am sure the majority of us would happily accept a new Rangers, cleansed of its financial, emotional and supremacist baggage. A club that all decent Rangers fans could support without feeling any guilt about Rangers downfall or that they were being taken for mugs. The prospect of a new dawn in Scottish football, where sporting integrity took primacy and clubs lived within their means was very real. However, as usual the SFA couldn’t miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

The truth is that Scottish football is in the state it is in, not because Rangers died but because those with the power and mandate to effect the prognosis sat back and did nothing. I am sure that they believe that ‘time heals all wounds’ and that the longer this injustice is allowed to stand the more likely it will be accepted by the man in the street. No doubt the authorities feel it is in the national interest to ‘let sleeping dogs lie’. However I cannot accept this. I believe that it is vital that we are able to face up to reality so we can move on for the benefit of all football supporters.

Scottish football is at a crossroads right now, I think we all feel it. Rampant corruption has become so mainstream that many of our fellow supporters have began to accept this as the norm. However, it just doesn’t sit right with me and I suspect that many regular contributors and readers of this blog feel likewise.

We have quite lost our way and we live in a society which spends vast amounts of money paying people like Jack Irvine to ensure that we stay lost. The mainstream media treat us like little imbeciles and demand that we conform to their assumed ‘professional superiority’. The PR machine plays up to our stereotypes and feeds our fantasies while the poorest people pay to swallow their poisonous propaganda and relentless trivia.

So what can we do ? Clearly, battering out a few blog posts and strongly worded letters to the various authorities involved has been rewarded by the square root of FA.

How can we make this an opportunity for growth rather than contributing to the destruction of Scottish football ? It is not good enough to tear down a system unless we have a better system to replace it. However, I believe that it is not the system itself which is broken. It is that those charged with administering the system are hopelessly corrupted, hugely conflicted and unable to apply their rules without fear or favour.

By their incapacity and inaction (wilful or otherwise) the SFA have facilitated a motley crew of various spivs, chancers and con-artists to glean the last few meagre pickings from the bones of the emaciated loyal supporters of this new club purporting to be the once mighty Rangers. They have permitted these ne’er-do-wells to collectively appropriate many tens of millions of pounds from the Rangers fans, the creditors and the public purse. They have already allowed this corporate malignancy to spread to a new host, ‘The Rangers’, and the absence of ‘moral hazard’ makes it more likely that the disease will continue to spread.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “‘Nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”

Someone else once said, “The wages of sin are death, but by the time taxes are taken out, it’s just sort of a tired feeling.”

I sense that we are all beginning to get tired of this. It is time to stand together, all football fans, face the facts and direct our anger against the officers of the SFA who have allowed this sham to develop into a catastrophe.

I have no doubt that my humble opinions expressed here will raise the ire of many deluded souls. However, I am comfortable in the knowledge that the only people who get mad at you for speaking the truth are those that are living a lie.

RIP Big Man.

I know I’m a bit late to the party on this one, but saw lots of comments earlier re Rangers hosting 400 members of the armed forces at the weekend. Would just like to add my support to ecobhoy’s exceptionally well drafted posts on this subject.

… Surely this refusal by past and present club to submit accounts …

There was the official Ibrox statement the other day that CH has accepted accounts. On the CH website though, both TRFC and RIFC are showing ‘Not filed’. I can’t get this to tally with the official line, which is also being used as a stick to beat BBC Scotland with.

Can CH just be behind in updating their company web pages?

  3. Mr Irvine is working very hard for his team!!! Given the following, he’s got a long way to go!
What follows is a link to a thread on RM. The poster is accusing the DR of anti TRFC propaganda by reporting on a riot in Central Station involving Ayr Utd and Hibernian supporters. The reporter highlights that, of those arrested, some are from Edinburgh and some have links to ‘Chelsea headhunters’, to quote the poster, ‘How they even manage to mention us in the story is incredible’
Unfortunately for the poster’s point, contributors then acknowledge their acquaintance with those involved, thereby confirming the truth of the DR’s story!!
Denial is not just a river in France! 😛

They were talking about CH ‘accepting’ the Annual Return for TRFCL, not the accounts, which are a completely separate thing and have yet to be published. (The batteries on Brenda’s clock are about to run out.)

apologies in advance if I’m wrong, but i think you may be thinking of their recent statements relating to the Annual Return

The Annual Return is a very simple document – it states the the nature of the business operated, the directors and shareholders – thats about it really.(think it confirms the business address as well)

No accounts – audited or otherwise – have been mentioned by them (unless i missed a badly worded sevconian official rant – there have been many!)

The problem is it wasn’t accounts but Annual Reports which is mainly to do with director and shareholding details.

  7. Tin hat time.

The idea Celtic lost to Morton is “good for the game” sounds a bit condescending.
If Celtic win the double this year and the treble for the next three or four years are Celtic fans going to complain that their club is killing the game? Didn’t think so.
If clubs like Aberdeen, Hibs, Killie, or Inverness won the league, it would be good for Scottish football. Even if different were just in contention regularly, it would be fantastic for the game. The chance of the odd cup every so often isn’t much better than catastrophic, it’s certainly nowhere near good.

  8. Given that Sevco appear to have FFW on standby for a CF posting, what is the mechanism for having the Scrib docs removed?

Do FFW have to show copyright evidence, for example an exact original document of what has been posted?
If so does this not prove the validity of the CF documents?

  9. I see Leggo has woken-up and wants to know who Blue Pitch and Margarita actually are. He’s even pointed out that Green gave a list of TRFCL shareholders to the SFA and if this is true then they ought to publish it or make it available for inspection to interested parties.

Re-education of a fixed-mind is a slow process and often ends in failure but if even Leggo is starting to realise it’s a good idea to know who owns your club then there may be a chink of light at the end of the tunnel.

It appears however that Leggo is unaware of all the other anonymous offshore investors in RIFC Plc the ultimate holding company that owns his beloved club. The failure of TRFCL to provide a complete Annual Return to Companies House makes getting even the names of companies ‘fronting’ for mystery investors much more difficult to ascertain.

However I feel sure that Companies House will act at some stage in the not too distant future if they have not already done so.

The “No uniform in public, unless on duty” rule is no longer in force. IIRC, there was a statement from the MOD following the Lee Rigby murder, that the policy would not change – not giving in to terrorists etc. I have no problem with football clubs becoming involved in this sort of thing, or indeed any other sport – Wimbledon has had a very successful programme for generations.

The issue here, in my view, was that the officers on duty that day, failed to live up to their responsibilities, getting pissed as newts in the Director’s Suite, rather than doing their bloody jobs. For various reasons not germane to this blog, i have a rather jaundiced view of the average Army officer….

  12. Sevcophrenia – is a mental disorder that makes it hard to: Tell the difference between what is real and not real; Think clearly; Have normal emotional responses; Act normally in social situations.

include delusions, loss of personality, confusion, agitation, social withdrawal, psychosis, and bizarre behavior.

Individuals with Sevcophrenia may hear voices that are not there. Some may be convinced that Peter Lawell is reading their minds, controlling how they think, what they read or plotting against them. This can distress patients severely and persistently, making them withdrawn and frantic.

Others, non Sevcophrenacs, may find it hard to make sense of what a person with Sevcophrenia is talking about. In some cases, the individual may spend hours completely still, without talking. On other occasions he or she may seem fine, until they start explaining the nonsense that they are truly thinking.

The accounts required by August 2012 were for TRFCL and it may well be that the only accounts the SFA will ever require is that of TRFCL or any successor as that is the operating company of the club. I really doubt that they will be looking at the accounts of RIFC Plc but perhaps I am wrong in that assumption.

But by April 2013 when the email was written we already had the interim accounts for RIFC Plc for the 7 month period until 31 December 2012. These accounts had the consolidated accounts of TRFCL incorporated in them so accounts had actually already been prepared for TRFCL stretching back to its incorporation in May 2012 (although it was Sevco Scotland at that time). And you are correct that info also appeared in the AIM Prospectus which from memory ran up until August or September 2012.

These interim accounts for RIFC Plc weren’t audited by Deloitte. But the accounts required for the SFA weren’t needed to be statutorily audited. So what was the big problem in just doing an audit acceptable to the SFA but not up to statutory level?
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hi Eco Mrs Peacock here – Drew’s away at his work but says he agrees with your post and apologises for his laziness in not checking the Sevco date of incorporation. I’m not surprised he didn’t check it because his study is a mass of accounts, papers, diagrams, Rangers paraphenalia etc and how he would find anything in there is anybodys guess. I’m worried he’s invested our life savings in them or something because I know he doesn’t support them. I have located and dusted off a photo of him meeting Jock Stein back in his playing days and hung it on the wall in his study.

Oh – almost forgot he said to say that if there were seven months worth of accounts available at April 2013 then why the big panic about getting 3 months done for the period to 31 August 2012. Seven is better than three he said as he drove off to work in his Reliant Robin. He also said it was a smokescreen to get Mather in and that he had more or less dictated Gym’s email to him.

    Regards

Mrs Peacock – in the library under the table clutching the Annual return and shredding the Pinset report.

they are known as cease & desist or in the US a takedown notice.

basically you contact the hosting company (scribd, utube etc), make allegations that the info posted is confidential, proprietry, stolen, libielous, defamatory etc etc. the hosting company has 2 choices, take the info off or risk a lawsuit, hosting companies in my experience always choose the takedown as they dont want dragged into court as this is a costly affair, google & utube get served with 0000’s takedown requests daily.

CF needs to find another hosting site to post the info, it wont stop FFW but will slow them down, as it does look like they have a hotline into scribd.

I think the Top Brass were caught-out badly by what happened last year and I also have no doubt they got their collective erse kicked all the way from Whitehall.
    ============================================
I await the weekend’s events with interest. In terms of what happened previously the media could have condemned it and asked Rangers what was the real message they were trying to send out. We all know what that message is of course. The entire scenario is quite disturbing in my view, given that the Armed Forces are there to protect us all, and are paid for by all of us who pay tax, regardless of football club allegiance or religion / no religion.

I’ll assume it was because the deals he want’s commission on, were deals for TRFC ltd – was he claiming the Puma/sports direct deal, blackthorn – but i seem to remember he mentioned raising IPO cash too – which would be for RIFC plc

is this part of the plan to put TRFC into admin?

Nice one NTHM, but I think you forgot one other symptom that is quite difficult to spot…It’s the ability to support two completely different football teams simultaneously.

  24. If there is a plan to put TRFC into admin, don’t the properties have to be shifted first (to RIFC), so the spivs can then rent them back or sell them to the ‘next-in-line pioneers’? Is there any fool proof way of knowing whether or not that has been done? (given possible delays in registration).

IMHO not really as it was made clear in the prospectus that while the exec and non-exec directors of the Plc would be employed by ‘ the company’ after the IPO, Ahmed and McCoist were named as key employees but of the RFCL and not RIFC.

As I understand it the dispute is re wages due when getting bumped and possible bonus payments for contracts he negotiated when the was Commerical Director of the Limited Co.

As mentioned yesterday, depending if Ahmed is successful and for how much – the question, like everything else, is how are the finances between the RIFC and the RFCL structured?

Until we see some form of decent and audited accounts with a laymans summary giving the man in the stands a simple explaination of the club/company’s financial position nobody has a clue what is going on down Ibrox way.

I think the simple answer is that TRFCL was his employer and he was commercial director for the same company.

A more cynical guess might be that he knows there are assets there he can readily attach such as Ibrox and Murray Park – well at least when he left in April this year 😆

    ADD EDIT

I can’t see it ever going to court as the company will either have folded/changed its name before the Hearing or they can’t afford for him to be in the witness box with privilege on what he says.

    A journo’s dream 🙂

Can you imagine what he could let-out.

It’s a bit like Orlit – file the notice and start the negotiations and he will be looking for more than £500K as he will be factoring in the same again in costs to TRFCL.

Don’t think this has been linked here but this is a great review of the recent Forfar-Rangers game. Makes more sense than some of their clumpany statements.

Loved it. What musical instrument did Ally base his tactics on? A load of trumpets?

  36. I see IA is taking Sevco to the court steps and some posters are asking if they can afford the 1/2m .
Bearing in mind the excuse for not having he EGM but instead fitting it into an AGM was it would save the £80,000 cost ,my answer would be no .
Also how does it cost 80 grand for a one day bun fight ,is there a swear box .

  37. Then again it cost CO 95 grand for a good night out (copy write CY )

  39. Heard a sevco 2012 fan on SSB last night saying that he had heard from Sevco 2012 shareholders that the new club could be going into administration and he was worried .
That was the first time I have heard a Sevco 2012 fan saying he had heard it from one of their own ,is the penny beginning to drop
No audited accounts since 2010 how long can that continue ,also P MG hinting that they may not even have a football license if this is the case why do all the other 41 club bother getting one

didn’t tell Peter Martin that he wants it back at a later date though! 😀

why now though? are they not debt free etc…

no inside knowledge, but my gut tells me this implosion is going to dwarf the previous guises collapse.

Looks to me like Sally knows the end is nigh and wants to deflect any blame from him regards his ludicrus salary

  44. Fergus, to be fair to Rangers they’ve only been in existence since last June. For a company in it’s first year of trading the accounts aren’t as yet overdue.

They can’t be held responsible for the failure to lodge accounts since 2010 by a soon to be liquidated, entirely separate entity.

As most of us on here agree the history of Rangers(IL) didn’t transfer over when CG started his tribute act but neither did the lack of audited accounts.

When the first set of statutory accounts might be submitted by RIFC plc is a mystery right now but as yet they’re not overdue.

What assurances of financial stability the SFA sought from Rangers to give them a licence for this season is another matter. A talking dog saying “sausages” would probably have been enough for them.

Sorry if this sounds overly picky but I’m stuck on the bus with Clyde 1 on and the panelists are keevins and DJ. I’m not having a good journey home.

    A rich seam.
The Oxford Dictionary will take these up too

Sevcon – The act of using a failed CVA to fleece a failing club and its fans. An exercise in Squirrel management.
    Not to be mistaken with
Sevcom – Using Jack and Mafia House to influence the media.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    A rich seam indeed:

Sevcon 1 – describes the period immediately prior to the financial implosion of TRFC.

  47. LPS
You are of course correct regards the audited accounts but in my defence my point was that the SFA seem to be hell bent on affording the tribute act the same privalages they bestowed on the dead club

  48. Hahaha. Hugh Keevins, what a guy.
“Rangers have been banned from Europe for 3 years for not providing accounts. They did not submit accounts so Uefa banned them for three years”

That’s his answer there to some guy asking why if rangers are the same club they weren’t in Europe last year despite finishing 2nd in the spl the previous season.

    I need a beer

More to the point, why are none of them querying the apparent anomaly?

  50. Was just wondering
When the focus was all on the restructuring of the leagues was being rushed through ,one thing that was slipped in was that Sevco were given full membership of the SFA .
Was the rush for the good of all clubs or was the goal getting sevco on the 3 yrs membership criteria for Euro competition .
Does the full membership date coincide with Euro deadlines

  51. LPS
Heard the call and the guy failed miserilbly I’m afraid .
God help us all if Keevins and BFDJ actually believe their answer .

  52. LPS
How can Sevco 2012 be banned from Europe they have never played a game in the SPL never mind Europe .
They do not qualify for Europe until they have been a member of an association for 3 yrs .

  53. A poster on FF is trying to organise a protest for tomorrow, all hush hush and won’t say what. He is involved in Sons Of Struth and they were saying they expected big news about stockbridge to break today (not heard anything btw)

so, what has caused this call to arms for immediate action?

Three main concerns need addressed NOW.

    1. Money – if the £50m raised this summer only £10m is left ,where has it went ?
    2. Fraud – RFC assistant secretary has filed a complaint to the serious fraud squad , why ?
    3. Transparency- Who are blue pitch holding and margarita ,why the secret – who are the owners ?

number 2 looks interesting, but thats about all as far as news goes.

  54. LPS
the response from the whole panel to that last call was beyond the pale .
An absoloute disgrace from a media broadcaster .
    I am truly astounished

  56. Bloody Furious.
A perfectly obvious question on the radio about the status of Team 12. Correcting the misapprehension of a UEFA ruling disqualifying them. The response :
Delahunt objects to the time: ” Seriously, at quater past seven, on a Friday, that’s your point “?
Keevins: ” Away and talk on Twitterland “.
Johnston: ” Shut up and behave yourself “.
    Then. Cut to adverts.
Never Again. Bribed buffoons. Patronisings eejits. You’re fooling nobody.

  58. I just had to turn the radio off and put some Al Green on to calm down after what I consider to be the worst blatant attempt to rewrite history on clyde. Absolutely disgusting.

I also sent off a complaint to clyde(I urge eceryone to do the same ) about the way keevins and johnston speak to people . If that was any other walk of life , office shop etc and someone spoke to the public this way, they would be sacked but its ok on clyde . I heard the groans of “can we not just move on” and audible sighs and groans from delahunt and johnstone. Do they not realise this is NEVER going away till its acknowledged … Iv no idea whats being said now as radio off..I urge everyone , Complain !!!!!

So….the dysfunctional Rangers board are threatening to sue me. I’ll see them in court.

    ———————-

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  60. Ah the same club issue rears its head again.
We are asked to believe that ‘the holding company’ went into administration and was liquidated not the club.
Has anyone noticed that Hearts ‘holding company’ went into administration and the club were not docked points. It was only when ‘THE CLUB’ went into administration that it was docked points.

Meanwhile back on planet ‘The Rangers’ the reality is that they did have a holding company but unfortunately it still exists. It was formerly called ‘Wavetower’ but I think it changed its name to ‘The Rangers Group Ltd’.

That is reality and no amount of media obfuscation, deceit, and down right lies will alter the facts above.
I really do not have a problem with RFC/’The Rangers’ fans claiming that they are the same but for goodness sake allow the rest of us to live in the real world.

As for the mysterious accounts: Can I ask our resident accountants what is the gap between them being made public and an AGM? Could the AGM be called without them and they be presented a day before the AGM so that no one can dissect them? I assume there is no need for them at all for an AGM to be called as RFC went two years prior to its demise and presumably it had an AGM.

The main issue I see here is the club licence which I believe has a condition for audited accounts.
Will this be another rule sacrificed on the ‘The Rangers’ alter?
I’m beginning to think that everyone is just sitting on their hands awaiting for this monster to devour itself from the inside and hoping that the angry mob don’t blame them for it.

The real problem they have is the ‘peeple’ on here pointing out each and every rule that is bent or broken.
The list is growing and they will eventually break its back.
Whether it is a domestic club that is running its affairs properly but is eventually done out of a European place sometime in the future or an external club who is forced to play them asking questions of UEFA as to ‘The Rangers’ right to participate.
