Do they really take their own support as being so gullible?

Yes…

Doncaster will , I think get the CEO job. Longmuir will not.
Regan will carry on at the SFA until the agitation to remove him begins.
======================================================

Given their track record, I see no reason to believe that the SFA will do the right thing.

It doesn’t matter how much agitation is leveled against them, Regan will continue as before.

After all, Campbell Ogilvie is still President of the SFA, in spite of all the events of the last two years.

Crowds come and go, historically. If crowds are down partly because there is no Sevco in the top flight, it’s a price worth paying.

Agreed but there has to be an impact on the business model at some point where crowds and season book sales are on a downward trend. I’m not decrying Celtic here I’m just pointing out that they are paying a price that most of the other Premiership teams have largely avoided.
————————————————————————————————

That’s because most of the other premiership clubs have very low attendances both now and historically, almost all playing to crowds of under 7,000-8,000 and many much lower than that.

Bawsman – an interesting tidbit overall there and thanks for sharing.

On the point I’ve quoted above…….. Has someone (perhaps on this very forum iirc) not already poured some very icy water on the notion that the Easdales bus firm would be worth that amount?
———————————————————————————————————————–

If, as suggested, the Easdales are looking for a victim to sell their bus company to, the reason won’t be that they want to plough the money into Rangers2.

They are too smart to throw their money into a bottomless pit.

Lots of media triumphalism today about the Rangers Supporters Trust shareholding increase to 500K.

Having listened to the utterances of that organisation in the past, heaven forbid they ever get anywhere near a position of power.

The very reason I wish them well…as I’m sure does Heaven…

….“We are the same club” claims only apply to keeping the history. 🙄
————
And that is the unbelievable mess the SFA got into, dealing with two quite separate football clubs round the same table , trying to transmigrate the soul of one into the body of the other! And blaming the second body for some (and only some) of the offences of the lifeless corpse.

Meantime, though, BDO are still quietly investigating, and we live in some hope that something of the real rottenness of the whole foul chapter in Scottish football and wider social history will be dragged into the light of day.
———————————————————————————————————————————————–

As the drama of the last three years unfolded, just like everybody else I could not believe not only what was happening on a daily basis, but also the response to the scandal, of the media, football authorities, and the judiciary.

Rangers,(then) and Sevco,(now) managed to wriggle and squiggle their way through the mess.

What happened to them wasn’t pleasant, but nothing near to what should have happened.

For that reason I have no faith in BDO, the UTTT, or anyone else, bringing down the hatchet on Rangers 2.

The only thing that might prevent Third Rangers is total financial insolvency.

And I wouldn’t bet on that either.

I am staggered that our press have not hounded CO out of office……and the people who prop him up.
