Their Master’s Voice

Good Afternoon.

As virtually anyone on the internet who follows Scottish Football has come to realise, there is a reasoned and determined attempt at ignoring the content of the Charlotte Fakeovers files on the part of the mainstream print media— and indeed by the broadcast journo’s to an extent.

There is widespread speculation that the accessing of the information provided by Charlotte the Harlot was not all above board and the reluctance of the journalists to mention or comment on the documents, so far published on the internet, is often explained away by the lawyers allegedly advising that the content is tainted and so on.

That indeed might or might not be the case, and only the editors, lawyers, journalists and so on will truly know what their stance is on the revelations. Some will want the whole thing suppressed and others will be desperate to get into print, but thus far are frustrated in any attempt to do so.

However, as the documents do appear on the net only to be quickly followed by file disappearances and so on, there is an ever burning question which must be asked and thrown open to debate and argument.

The issue is not just how independent are the Sports Press in Scotland, but whether or not the relationship between certain sections of the press and Rangers or The Rangers is in fact lawful and deserving of football sanctions.

There is no doubt that many big businesses, local authorities and Governments use the services of PR firms and the likes to get information out to the public and to put their slant on any given situation. That is fair enough.

However, in recent days we have seen the release of documentation which, if accurate and true, shows that a leading Scottish PR company were specifically employed to place stories with the press which were designed to damage the reputation of, to embarrass or cause problems for certain other teams and personnel involved in Scottish Football.

Again I stress that all of this is subject to the caveat that what Charlotte is publishing may or may not be real and accurate. However, if what has been produced is in fact the genuine correspondence between the club and its professional advisers then that correspondence needs to be looked at.

The SFA and indeed the SPFL are the bodies that lay down rules which govern the conduct of clubs and their officers and employees.

So looking at these regulations let me just repeat some of them here:

Fisrt the rules of what was the SPL and which I presume are the rules of the SPFL:

A3.1 In all matters and transactions relating to the League and Company each Club shall behave towards each other Club and the Company with the utmost good faith.

A3.2 No Club, either by itself or its Club Officials, shall by any means whatsoever unfairly criticise, disparage, belittle or discredit any other Club, the Company or the League or in either case any such other Cub or the Company’s directors, officers, employees or agents (which shall, for the avoidance of doubt, exclude supporters).

The SFA handbook at article 5 places obligations on members to observe the principles of loyalty, integrity and sportsmanship in accordance with the rules of fair play, and to refrain from engaging in any activity which would constitute a breach of sections 1, 2 and 6 the Bribery Act 2010.

The details of the Bribery act can be found here:

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/23/section/2

Basically, I think these rules mean that you cannot criticise belittle or try to damage the reputation of a club outwith the rules of the games and must at all times behave with integrity, in a sporting manner and with THE UTMOST GOOD FAITH!

The details,as released by Charlotte, show that there is at best a conflict of interests at times with various parties being both employed by the club and paid by radio stations or newspapers to comment on matters relating to all aspects of Scottish Football. As a member of the PR staff at Ibrox presumably such employees are paid to tow a certain party line when commenting in the media and so throw a spin on any given set of facts and circumstances that suits whoever is in control of Ibrox.

Further, it has been suggested that certain individuals acting in this way can also represent the views of for example Walter Smith — and so act as their mouthpiece if necessary.

Such practices may be unpleasant and undesirable but not necessarily against the laws of the game. It would just mean that the newspapers and broadcasters concerned cannot be regarded as independent or objective in their comments or views — they are merely towing an employers line. In short they are HMV— His Masters Voice!

Equally, we have seen supposedly independent journalists and editors referred to in such a way that it is clear they are being asked to spin news a certain way for whatever reason — including the suggestion that if they do not comply then some kind of action will be taken which the parties concerned would rather avoid — such as private matters becoming public.

However, of far greater interest is the suggestion that where necessary the newspapers or whoever will be used to spread negative stories about another club, its employees, directors or whoever.

Such a position may well amount to a breach of articles 3.1 and 3,2 of the SPL ( now SPFL rules) and against the principals set out in the SFA handbook.

Both the SFA and the SPL ( SPFL) has a press office and legal officers.

Both grant rights to broadcasters and journalists, and allow members of the press access to their officers and officials.

Both bodies are free to set out what is acceptable conduct on the part of clubs in this area…… and what is not!

Without even alluding to the detail of the Charlotte revelations, or needing to enquire into the details of the Charlotte documents, I would have thought that the governing bodies would be capable of issuing a formal reminder, to all clubs currently playing at any level in Scottish football, of the content of these rules and that any breach of the rules will not be tolerated.

Of course the matter becomes more convoluted if any officers of the SFA or SPL were involved in the employment of any PR companies or agencies on behalf of a member club and engaged in briefing any such agency about what to say when it comes to the affairs of other clubs. Surely you cannot have an executive officer of a governing body who is in any way linked to the employment of an agency which breaks rules on behalf of a member club?

However, few of these people ever appear on the airwaves to answer questions on a personal basis, and very few expose themselves to questions from the public.

However, many of the commentators and journalists named in the Charlotte documents are regulars on the airwaves and could, in theory, be asked whether or not they are no more than “Their master’s voice” as would appear to be the case if the Charlotte documents are in fact genuine.

If the Scottish Footballing Public are to be entrusted with the truth — and why shouldn’t they in this era of open and transparent football governance– then I think they are entitled to enquire direct whether or not the journalists, players, ex players, managers directors, broadcasters and governing body officials believe in articles 3.1 and 3.2 of the SPFL rules and article 5 of the SFA handbook?

Oh– and maybe the same people could provide some practical examples of what they would consider to be breaches of these rules and what the appropriate sanctions might be?

Specifically– do the actions mentioned in the Charlotte documents ( if true ) fall within the football rules or not?

Or do the SFA and SPFL just ignore placed press releases and comments?

It would be interesting to know.

  1. If Charles is really back to tighten Ally’s belt (now there’s a challenge) and perhaps to ensure some, or all, of the unregistered trialists remain unregistered, I wonder how TRFC will manage with a depleted multimillion pound squad, as opposed to an un-depleted multimillion pound squad. I wonder, too, if any club has ever won the 3rd tier of any league in the world having lost so much talent at the very start of the season, surely that would be yet another world record!

Just a (naughty) thought, how nice would it be if their replacement, state of the art, superbus broke down on the way home? And the only mechanic they could find turned up wearing a Celtic top and eating a bridie! Now wouldn’t Ally be jealous 🙂

From a cost perspective whether they are registered isn’t really the issue, it’s whether they have a contract.

  3. Rangers manager Ally McCoist has launched a sensational attack on Charles Green, branding the former chief executive “an embarrassment”.
The Light Blues boss hit out after Green – who is set to return to Ibrox in a consultancy role – warned the manager in a newspaper article today that he must win a cup this year and that simply delivering another league title would not be enough.
Hours later, Rangers crashed out of the first round of the Scottish League Cup 2-1 after extra-time to Forfar.
Speaking afterwards at Station Park, when asked for his thoughts on Green’s remarks, McCoist said: “I was appalled by them to be quite honest with you.
“The self-acclaimed straight-talking Yorkshireman has again let himself down.
“His contempt and total lack of respect for my players, for our football club, for our support and Scottish football in general is appalling – and he is an embarrassment.”
On Green’s cup claims, McCoist added: “If it was a threat then the self-acclaimed straight-talking Yorkshireman should know that boys from the West of Scotland don’t scare easily.
“If he does come back, I’ll certainly go and pick him at the airport. I won’t have a problem doing that.
“It’s just more hot air that we’ve come to expect from Charles.”

  4. News breaking that ally has slaughtered Charlie at the post match conference. Not sure of details yet but seems the Green statement unsettled the players preprtations this morning. Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

  6. Explosive Post Match Conference :
    BBC

Here’s more from reporter Charlie Mann from that explosive Rangers media conference, where Ally McCoist has responded to pre-match criticism from Charles Green. The former chief executive has returned to the club as a consultant and demanded that McCoist’s side win a cup trophy this season in addition to the League One title.

“Ally McCoist does not want Charles Green back in Scotland. Ally McCoist was asked if he would go to the airport and pick Charles Green up and he said: ‘No chance.’

“He was hugely disappointed. He said the players were sitting in the breakfast room this morning when they were hit with this story. He says, as team talks go, Charles, this was not your best.

“He said it was a terrible situation for Rangers players to be in this afternoon and he says it did contribute to this defeat.

“He said it was no surprise to him that Charles Green has come back today when they were at their most vulnerable and weakest and that it was no surprise that he has surfaced once again after 34,000 Rangers fans have bought season tickets.”

  7. Boardroom warfare, Green/Mather/McCoist slanging off each other via the media, the Forfar result….

    Has Armageddon finally come?

Scottish football needs a strong Arbroath – and well done Forfar (through gritted teeth)

  8. Ally added ….

“‘His total contempt and total lack of respect for the Rangers players and for Scottish football is an embarrassment.'”

  9. Who actually employed Charles Green as a “consultant”.

Surely it must have been a board decision, so who on the board wanted him there and who didn’t. I find the entire situation totally bizarre.

  10. Happy Loon here. 🙂

Rangers, of course, were unable to play their ‘trialists’ this afternoon and have crashed out of cup competition no 1. In a couple of weeks, they will be tasked with taking on Berwick in the second round of the Ramsden cup, again unable to play their ‘trialists’. What an opportunity for Berwick who, after last year, should not be fazed by playing at Ibrox.

  11. I can fully understand that to win a cup competition would be good plan, considering the money that has been spent. But, Mr McCoist? I just don’t know.

Does he have a good record in cup competitions?

No, I don’t think he does. In fact, it is one of the worst in the history of Scottish football. For a football manager, it may even be a World Record.

    Question of Sport anyone?

  12. Craig Whyte is great, buy season tickets…
Charles Green is great, buy season tickets…
    Absolutely, Ally, absoForfarutely!

  13. WRT the various uncoordinated Green/Mather/McCoist utterances to the media should TRFC think about hiring a Director of Communications?

Scottish football needs a strong Arbroath.

  14. Some behind the scenes shenanigans at Ibrox. I think Lindsay Heron has had his collar felt for publishing the following on the official website ;

ALLY McCOIST has accused Charles Green of treating Rangers and its fans with contempt and believes he has no interest in the club.

The manager was furious to waken up this morning to comments from the former Light Blues chief executive – appointed as a consultant to the club yesterday – in a national newspaper.
In the interview, he insisted McCoist had to win the league and a cup this season or he would ‘have a problem’.
Green also reiterated his belief last season’s team was the worst in the club’s history and described events at Ibrox as ‘a circus’.
And he maintained he’d have raised season ticket prices this term and wouldn’t have given McCoist the volume of players Craig Mather has allowed him to recruit.
The manager was furious in particular with the timing of Green dismissing the same squad from 2012/13 he was working with at today’s League Cup tie against Forfar.
Gers lost 2-1 after extra-time and McCoist feels the Yorkshireman’s words played a part. He said: “They were a terrible distraction and I found his comments appalling, I really did.
“Once again, he was reminding our boys who had a serious cup tie in four hours that he thinks they were the worst Rangers team in history.
“What kind of team talk is that from somebody who is supposed to have the club’s best interests at heart?
“He’s fooling nobody. He’s trying to kid the fans on that he’s this, that and the next thing but he’s not interested in Rangers Football Club, not at all.
“I think it’s plain to see his contempt and total lack of respect for my players, the staff at the club, the supporters and Scottish football in general. It’s totally unacceptable.”
McCoist went into this afternoon’s match at Station Park minus the eight new players he has recruited over the last few weeks.
The difference in play without them was evident as Rangers struggled to break down their fellow League One opponents for large spells.
Fraser Aird did cancel out Gavin Swankie’s early opener to force an additional half hour of play and there were chances for the Light Blues to edge it.
Instead they fell to a second Swankie strike in windy conditions and McCoist knows his players didn’t perform the way they could have.
He said: “I’m very disappointed. The team shooting with the wind obviously had a very strong advantage and conditions weren’t ideal. Forfar adapted better than us.
“With that said, once we did get the equaliser I thought we had chances to win the game and we should have done. It was a moment of slackness that cost us and we just switched off.
“Let’s put things into perspective though. It was last year’s team playing – which did well for us last year – and we had eight lads in the stand who couldn’t play but who’ll feature.
“For long periods of the game, we had the ball and we had great chances to score but we couldn’t convert and we’ll congratulate Dick Campbell and his team on their win.
“Now we look ahead to the Newcastle game, which will give us an opportunity to play lads our new chief executive has stood by and allowed to bring into the club.
“We have to remember we’ve brought in good players, people who have played in the Premier League, and I’ve no doubt they will make us better.”

it has since been removed, airbrushed, and replaced with a bland piece
    http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/4680-we-will-get-better

Is it a coup? There will be blood on the moon I fear whatever else happens.

Yes, I thought that was amusing, but Ally obviously doesn’t do irony – although I sure there will be a few Rangers fans who might point that out to him 🙂

  16. Possibly contriving for Mr McCoist to be sacked, rather than walking away.

Forfar finally get the cup win over Rangers after coming so close in the late 70s and early 80s. Brilliant day for a cracking club. I hope the good folk of Forfar come out in greater numbers to back their local team.

As for Berwick beating TRFC, I can’t see it, they lost 0-5 at home to Cowdenbeath today. Rangers reject or should that be Ally reject Kane Hemmings scoring a hat trick.

  20. I’ve often wondered about the claims that the MSM print negative or disruptive stories about opponents of Rangers, or TRFC, in the run up to matches, and whether or not it has the desired effect. Well, there’s the proof, straight from the horses mouth. On Friday, one time pundit and now esteemed football manager, Ally McCoist, derides his current, registered, squad by saying they weren’t as good as his new, unregistered, players and he doubted (or seemed to) doubt their ability to beat a team of part-time players. Part-time players, who, I suspect, were more or less the same squad of players Forfar didn’t win anything with last season.

Then this morning, former CEO, and football expert – only in his mind, Charles Green, derides the manager and his playing squad.

I wonder whose statement upset the players most! The manager who picks the team, with, apparently, 8 others he’d play ahead of them; or ‘consultant’ Charles Green, who, if he has his way, will dump the 8 and leave the incumbents in a more secure position.

Yes, Ally, Charles Green upset you, but what do you think you did for the morale of the players you had to pick from today? Have you learned anything today? Or will you continue to get your excuses in early?

In all of the time in charge of Rangers and all of the competitions he has had teams in Mr McCoist has 1 “achievement”, winning the lowest division of a league in Scottish senior football with a team which would have a salary cost second to one SPL (as was) club. His budget for everything would have been higher than every other club in that division put together.

His embarrassing removal from competitions, including the Ramsden’s cup, and incredible loss of a 15 point lead in the SPL is the stuff of legends.

You couldn’t mark his neck with a blow torch.

  23. McCoist : “Once again, he was reminding our boys who had a serious cup tie in four hours that he thinks they were the worst Rangers team in history. What kind of team talk is that from somebody who is supposed to have the club’s best interests at heart?”

A good manager would use that as motivation for his players. A good manager.

Scottish football needs a strong Arbroath.

  24. I get the feeling the recent activities from ‘new’ posters and the re-introduction of Charlie’s Lying Circus isn’t accidental but anyways, that aside…Isn’t it great to have the clown back at Ibrox? I suspect the state of perma-rage must be at evaporation point now after the Forfar result and I’m hearing Ally has quite lost the plot too. Green – haha – barely back in the place a couple of days and he’s already managed to upset poor Alistair to the point of almost crying live on radio. Dignity, eh? I remember when they used to hide behind that self-delusional façade whenever stuff like their fans rioting occurred, now the directors and management have gone feral too – reduced to fighting with each other live on radio and I hope it eventually drags Sandy Bryson and Campbell Ogilvie into the cess-pit too – I think it will because with that lot all at loggerheads, the sparks are bound to fly and when you add the Easdale’s into the mix – well, i’m sure they’ll all get on like a bus…err…a house on fire!

It will end up one whole big stinking mess and the very ‘peepil’ the SFA corrupted themselves to actually assist will just throw it all back at them when Ibrox is lying derelict and home to only tramps and pigeons – In case anyone is in any doubt, the zombie reincarnate are there to facilitate a very short term cash flow and when Charlie et-al are through with them, it really will be left to the fans to sustain the football equivalent of Frankenstein, which will mean that the club will cease to exist in no little time. Will Dave the shameless glib liar return? Would Ibrox really make a decent laundrette for his dirrrty cash?? Does Dave really have enough ££ in any case???

Nah, They are finished. There is no person or organisation that is willing to throw the required ££ to provide and sustain the perceived stature the Ibrox ST buyers have for the team on the park, they really expect to be the top club but barely any one of their fans actually understands the most rudimentary ideals of business practise – It’s unbelievable but it’s a pathetic fact that the overwhelming majority of TRFC fans simply haven’t a clue about their clubs financial workings and how things are actually paid for – most thought the good times came courtesy of ST sales and Minty’s pockets and probably still do, they don’t know that HBOS via Gavin Masteron paid for most of it all because they are the most ill and uninformed collective of people on the planet – they really have to be best at everything…even when it comes to being ignorant.

It’s over though and no amount of SFA skulduggery will get them out of the mess that’s going to be left when it’s gone, no team in blue at Ibrox. No team whatsoever at Ibrox and nothing but pigeons flying about and signs outside suggesting a land sale, or a new Lidl development perhaps…what a fall from dignity if ever there was that would be…but guess what? The SFA are going to get all the blame for it.

Karma really is a b’stard. You’ll soon learn that Messrs’ Ogilvie and Bryson, just ask Alistair.

So what for Jack and MH? Does anyone think the police have been in contact with HMRC (or vice versa..) about those pictures – including their menacing intent? I think there is a real case for – at the very least – a police investigation and a public statement from either organisation re in respect of public concerns of corruption and apparent intimidatory behaviour suggested towards government officials as-per CF docs clearly show. What the eff are people in public office doing about this?!! What has to actually occur before Jack and his brethren over-step the mark?? Perhaps this is one particular issue we should try and put to out local MP’s / MSP’s, or a Scottish parliament representative as a community – I don’t have a clue who or what to contact but I will figure something and if anyone has suggestions – I’m all ears.

I guess for now we can sit back and enjoy the show – I got a tenner on Charlie:)

I suppose it’s worth mentioning that Ally’s side remain the 2nd most expensive squad ‘constructed’ in the country and regardless of whatever ‘pressures’ Chuckles Green has put on him, Alistair’s side should still be disposing of Forfar quite easily one would imagine…but at least it gives Alistair yet more dog-whistling excuses – only this time the dog-whistling is directed against Charles Green and I think Ally will be out the door soon. Funny but I haven’t heard anything from Walter ‘Sir Cardigan Of Dignified Brown Brogues, Lord Of Ibrox, Govan, the River Clyde and all it’s creatures’ Smith in a while…

  33. In case anyone is interested, here is the “article which replaced Mr McCoist’s attack on Mr Green.

It was written by Andrew Dickson

ALLY McCOIST insists Rangers will improve after seeing them blow a number of opportunities to kill off Forfar and ultimately crash out of the League Cup to the Loons.

The Light Blues had more possession than their Angus opponents in today’s first round tie at Station Park and created several scoring chances.

But they only took one of them through Fraser Aird nine minutes from the end of regulation time as he cancelled out Gavin Swankie’s opening goal.

And all that did was delay a famous win for Dick Campbell’s team as Swankie struck again five minutes from the end of extra-time to notch a 2-1 victory for the hosts.

Gers played without any of their eight summer recruits, all of whom were prevented from featuring due to competition rules regarding non-use of unregistered players.

Ross Perry, Kyle Hutton, Emilson Cribari and Dean Shiels were each sidelined too by injuries as the Ibrox side turned out minus 12 squad members.

Once the club’s transfer embargo finishes at the end of the month, McCoist will finally be able to pick freely from his pool and the first XI will be much stronger then.

In the meantime, he has to rouse his troops after this afternoon’s setback for Tuesday’s home friendly with Newcastle then the League One opener against Brechin a week from now.

McCoist said: “I’m very disappointed. The team shooting with the wind obviously had a very strong advantage and conditions weren’t ideal. Forfar adapted better than us.

Have a look at this business case based on past accounts, IPO and last Interim Accounts information.

    https://drive.google.com/?tab=wo&authuser=0#my-drive

By the end of Yr1 (last season) it calculated a bottom line left of £12,864,414. That being so and assuming the £5m capital expenditure was spent (and I have doubts that the £3m stadium spend happned) the predicted bottom line at the end of this season in Yr2 would be £1.137m in the red, Yr3 £8.10M before it starts to reduce slightly in yr 4.

It assumes there were costs to raising the shares so £19.7m used and not £22m..

However if only £7m is left at end of Yr1 the botton line at the end of next season rises to £6m+ in the red and not spending something on Ibrox does not look a viable option. £2.5m is allowed for but it may be more. It also allows for stadium naming bringing in £1m that seems to have dropped off the radar..

The latest accounts will inform us of areas where the figures are way out, but the wage bill would need to be halved to get the business back under control and management expenses are ridiculous.

The new club can survive OK but only if it comes to accept its not a viper that shed its skin but a new animal entering a different world from the one its predecessor inhabited, a teddy bear rather than a snake perhaps?.

Scottish football needs a strong Arbroath – and well done Forfar (through gritted teeth)

  37. From Lindsay Heron statement above.

    Ally stated below
“Once again, he was reminding our boys who had a serious cup tie in four hours that he thinks they were the worst Rangers team in history.”
    —————————————————————–
What Charlie should have said was “they are the only team in The Rangers History” I admit they are still pretty poor even as a new team (with a big budget) oops!!.

  38. When Tommy in Glasgow spoke to S Regan on his show ,did S Regan say that as far as he was concerned the Euro licensing committee had acted correctly in giving RFC{IL} a license for 2011/2.

It would be interesting to find out who actually sat on that committee and if they had any links to the oldco, i’m not suggesting any impropriety but the members of that committee must have had the information in order to come to a conclusion as to whether RFC met the criteria to be awarded the license for 2011/12.

With all the distractions of the return of CG ,we must not allow ourselves to focus all our energies on the forthcoming boardroom battle that will no doubt ensue.

When I spoke to the head of communications at Hampden and asked him why RFC were issued with the license he told me that the debt (the wee tax bill) had not crystalised and there was no problem with the paperwork,i got the feeling that he was being economical with the truth and was treating me with contempt ( it must be the way they are trained at Hampden).

I still feel that this is a scandal that must be brought into the light and show the SFA up for the corrupt shower that they are.

  39. Hello from sunny Greece
All week I’ve been putting various ignorant English right on the Rangers situation re punishment etc
Anyway well done the Dons today and Scottish football needs a strong Forfar 😀

  40. Aulheid @ 8:53

I agree with your last paragragh. All this nonesense that they are this 5 star club has given them a heavy burden to bear. They would have got more respect from me if they accepted that fact. Worked and grafted hard to make their way up the leagues acknowledging that they related to oldco and not try and buy success just as oldco did. Beer money champagne tastes

“But our players picked up the newspaper at breakfast to be reminded they’re the worst team in Rangers’ history”

After reading above report I was wondering if they were holed up in a Glasgow or Forfar hotel overnight squandering more IPO money.

I wonder what they meant exactly by crystalised because if they mean it was still under dispute at the point the licence was granted by SFA on 31st May and so not due well that is incorrect.

If they mean it had not crystalised because it was not due by 30th June when they had to tell UEFA of any unpaid tax at that date then that is incorrect.

If they meant it had crystalised in the respect that Rangers had accepted it was due and HMRC had issued the bill before the end of May (they did on 20th May) BUT it was not an overdue payable because it was covered by one of the 4 criteria in Annex VIII of UEFA FFP 2010 (one of which was amended in UEFA 2012) then that too imo is incorrect.

Regan said in Sept 2011 that proper procedures had been followed which very arguable given the above and in December that the bill had not crystalised at time of granting licence (31st May) when the key date was 30th June..

The SFA public statements are not supported by what CF has made available. This suggests that not only did SFA not apply the UEFA rules properly but they also aided Rangers in depriving HMRC and UK taxpayer of £2.8m that most certainly was due.

If you use the Contact Tab to PM me I’ll point you in the right direction.

  46. excuse for the latest cup shambles
“The team shooting with the wind obviously had a very strong advantage”

To paraphrase redlichtie, Scotland needs a strong wind

The wonderful thing of course is neither the board nor Mr Green will be able to do anything with his little “sackme” pal. The club/company/entity/institution/whatever simply does not have the spare cash to buy out Sally’s contract so they’re stuck with him through thick and thicker.

We will now see the MSM divide along the fault lines – some with the “knights” who have Rangersness (copyright Chick Young 2013) to the marrow of their bones but, alas, nae cash to speak of (though two of them are billionaires according to Keef), others aligning with the Spivs who have loads of (other peoples’) dosh.

I suspect the analysis earlier this evening is right; the football club will run out of money and be sold for a few million leaving Chuck & co owning the assets.

Rangers are dead, remember this or nothing wonderful can come of the tale. It is the constant inability of many responsible people in Scotland to remember this that has caused all of these problems.

  47. TRFC are so big and important their “shock” result today does not even warrant a mention on the BBC nationwide news. I put shock in inverted commas as I for one thought Forfar had a real chance today and put two quid on them @17/2. Of course, extra time does not count. TRFC only had six full internationals too, c’mon Forfar ffs!

  48. New post up to clear the thread folks.
Lots of Sallys and Chuckles and other childish stuff appearing as well – please note that the words will be removed. You all know better.

Great post. I feel your exasperation. Just hope that each and everyone of those implicated in all this crap, eventually, get their comeuppance. Enjoyed latest happenings, today’s meltdown etc and I hope it’s the beginning of end for all these effers, but, it’s not why I, a passionate fan of football, follow(ed) the sport. Sickened with it all. Hell mend them! Keep up the great work TSFM and posters.

  50. Today’s bi-directional hurricane has made me forget something I was thinking about during yesterday’s tornado,

the magic 51% number, if CG wants to be on the board who can plausibly oppose it?

If he doesn’t want to for various reasons (AIM, Companies House, SPFLWhatever) has the 51% moved downwards over the last few weeks
