I am looking at a slightly different swirling vortex out of the windows of my 30th floor flat: Hurricane Sandy.

===============================

I was musing with a friend this afternoon that Sandy was perhaps not a menacing enough name for the hurricane currently threatening the east coast of the USA. He reminded me of events earlier this summer and postulated that perhaps the US hurricane centre had Sandy Jardine in mind when they named it. Stay safe StevieBC

Hmm, seems the wee Rovers did not use the Bryson defence in this case. if they had then they would probably still be in the competition.

In all seriousness though, the whole thing stinks to high heaven. One rule for some and a different rule for those who don’t pass the sniff test.

I note with amusement the following lines in the story

“Rangers chairman Dave King has announced further investment of £1m by 44-year-old Julian Wolhardt.”

“The fans’ group did not state the value of its investment in RIFC but King, on the Rangers website, said that Wolhardt and Club 1872 had “each made a £1m investment in shares”.”

Silly me I thought that for it to be an investment then the club would receive the proceeds from the share sale. Unless of course its an investment in MASH holdings. Words are very important.

THAT Debate, and the Beauty of Hindsight
Please someone (EJ) correct me if I am wrong but were Hearts under Romanoff not serial offenders with regard to tax and paying players wages. As far as I am aware the wee tax case was the first time the old Rangers came to the attention of HMRC.

I note that the BBC are reporting that Buckie Thistle could be in line for a points deduction due to an alleged ineligible player. Unused substitute Callum Murray was listed in the squad for Saturdays game against Fortmartine United. I do hope they have Sandy Bryson on speedial

Small Price to Pay?
Well Jimbo, I do hope theres enough left in the Jambos kitty to buy a new pitch. Looks like the builders have been parking the JCB’s on the current one.
