“Despite everything that’s happened, and the full implications of the FTTT, in five years’ time, I expect the landscape of Scottish football to be pretty much what it was before”

A great post FF, and I share your pain. However just one thing I disagree with is the excerpt above. Our football “authorities” have absolutely no intention of waiting 5 years for normal service to resume. They are currently straining every sinew to shoehorn TRFC into the top flight at the very earliest opportunity, next season would be fine as far as they are concerned.

Having observed the farce of the administration unfold over 6 months, the resurrection of TRFC and the transfer of the SFA share in circumstances that would bring shame on the most corrupt banana republic on the planet, all under the eyes of the court (and in my personal opinion with the complicit assistance of the court), I have lost all faith in the legal and judicial system of this country. And as for the police, it seems that on FF and RM, absolutely anything can be said with complete impunity.

And as regards the “nuclear option”, I totally agree. I’m certainly not holding my breath on that one. Does a nuclear device have a sell-by date? Because this one’s expired quite a while back.

I will watch the coming “reconstruction” with great interest, just to see how brass-necked the establishment chaps can be in their increasingly shameless efforts to serve the interests of TRFC. If anyone is dreaming of Lord Nimmo-Smith dishing out punishments, or action being taken by anyone regarding the obstruction of the Revenue’s enquiries, or BDO reversing the sale to Green, or Strathclyde’s finest actually arresting anyone connected with SDM or RFC, all I can say is enjoy your dream. Reality is going to be a rude awakening.

Why the Beast of Armageddon Failed to Show?
From Friday’s Herald:

“The accused man was arrested by officers at the national Football Co-Ordination Unit after voluntarily attending the citys Helen Street police office, Strathclyde Police said.

He has been released on an undertaking and is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on December 20. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”

I know little or nothing about Scottish criminal law, so I’m hoping someone knowledgeable in such matters can help me out.

Has this man been charged with an offence? And if he hasn’t been charged, how can he be expected to appear in court on a specific date? Finally, what is an “undertaking”? Is that the Scottish equivalent of Police Bail?

Just curious.

Would Mr English care to peruse the comments on Followfollow and Vanguard Bears over the last 6 months or so? I am sure that he could fill a couple pages of his newspaper with his observations. But please make sure that you arrange that essential safe house for yourself and your family first, please, we would hate to see anyone get hurt.

And therein lies the difference, Mr English. On one side a group of people who seek after truth and justice, sometimes get it wrong, but would never threaten anyone with physical violence just for expressing a view that they disagree with. And on the other side? The opposite. And where does Tom English direct his fire? Well, doesn’t that just say it all.

The conclusion I draw from the events of the last 6 months is that mob rule and violence will always triumph over justice and reason in not so bonny Scotland, and in my view with the active collusion of the “establishment”. Mr English, you have just confirmed me in that view. Enjoy the lamb, I hope you choke on it.

Sorry about the abysmal grammar, don’t they have sub-editors these days?

Looks like “Moneyball” is coming to Scotland with this one. And is there anyone left at Brentford- apart from former Ibrox Wonderkid Lewis Macleod?

Just saw this after my previous post. It sort of ties in with my own thoughts on where this is going.

I see that the RIFC share price has been on an upward trend for a few weeks now, it has reached 30p today from a low of 24p, admittedly on thin trading.

Am I being too cynical in thinking that the share price reflects the improved chances of RIFC getting rid of TRFC once and for all, while retaining the properties? If that can be done, and soon, then the shares look cheap at 30p. If it isn’t done, then all the future holds for the shares is dilution, as cash calls are made to keep TRFC afloat.

I think the market believes the football side is about to be ditched. I can’t make sense of a rising share price otherwise.

The Wallace statement just confirms for me that in business terms he is a lightweight, and that he is totally out of his depth in the Ibrox snakepit. Loads of words to say nothing- why not take the opportunity to answer King’s questions? The fact that he doesn’t confirm that the properties are unencumbered, for example, just invites the conclusion that they are, in fact, encumbered. To my simple way of thinking, anyway.
