I’m not an accountant and yet I can tell that there is something very wrong with the Duffers’ financial puff piece. It reads to me like a blueprint for legalised theft and fraud. Incredible stuff.
Have you noticed the hourly charge for the most menial of chores? I ask you. It tempts me to appply for a job with them as a lowly office gofer. I’d be a wealthy comedian very quickly…

Miki…you do not need any formal accountancy or economics qualifications to fathom that this whole charade is a (conflicted) rip-off.

Whilst not excusing the exorbitant charge out rates which can be applied here, there are a goodly number of genuine anomalies in company law which allow this kind of nonsense to be perpetrated. The whole artificial scenario of Whyte posturing to have his favoured firm be appointed as administrators, just “nosing” out HMRC’s favoured firm(S), indicates that from the start, something stinks behind this whole scenario.

I ask the question, which answers itself really: had this not been RFC going “belly up”, but a similar sized organisation in Scotland going “belly” up, surely the MSM would have engaged suitably qualified financial and business staff reporters to cover the news and raise the correct questions and probe where they knew any porkies were being blatantly fed back to the public?

I ask the question again, does it suit the MSM to have “fitba’ churnalists” cover such a story, in the full knowledge that none will ask the relevant probing question(s)? Does this policy really emanate from the highest editorial level in Scotland?

I find it astonishing that Rangers fans cannot see that the real crime here was their club was destroyed in front of them and then bits of it auctioned to any passing shyster with a few quid in his pocket.

==================================================================

SD…I commenced my CA studies in Glasgow some 40 years ago and amongst that group of guys ( not many gals in those days!), were followers of the two main Glasgow teams as well as the odd Thistle or Clyde fan.

Over the period of our studies and beyond, we all became friends, if only “pub pals” and football usually came to dominate conversations, the usual “banter” given and taken by all.

What concerns me most in this tragedy is that I cannot believe that those people I referred to above, whose integrity I would never question, would as Sugar Daddy says, watch as “their club was destroyed in front of them” and say nothing, and over a period of 25 years under Murray. Surely basic superficial reading of the annual accounts would provoke so many questions?

Additionally, and this is the worst part, I ask how they could watch as Charletan Green, a front man for so many shady characters, perpetrates the greatest leagal and commercial outrage in the history of football, possibly even world football. Perhaps they did not watch and had already “walked away”.

So the question must be asked: is the current situation being kept alive by a complicit MSM/SFA/SPL and or do the “decent” fans not really care about honour or integrity as long as they can witness the blue side continuing in any shape or form.

I weep for my city and country.

It is that sort of pap that the hard of understanding take as gospel and when challenged some resort to violence.

I find it astonishing that Rangers fans cannot see that the real crime here was their club was destroyed in front of them and then bits of it auctioned to any passing shyster with a few quid in his pocket.

Its not good enough. (my edit)

Sugar Daddy…a few nails hit squarely on the head there.

I have posted (on RTC) previously re my late father, who banned the DR from the house 35 years ago, as much on the grounds of quality of reporting as accuracy of reporting or fairness.

He also had an expression which I think still applies to the MSM…”…nearest to heart, nearest to typewriter…”.

So not much change there then…?

ICAS Practice Regulation only get upset when recalcitrant, (no, not “concomitant”) members, like me, fail to return meaningless checklists or forms in time.
Please believe me…I have “got form” in this area…. 01
Only when a serious complaint from “members of the public” is received, would any notice be taken…and minimum action result…
Please remember, that ICAS members, at least 20 in number, have been involved in this whole RFC/MIH/TRFC/TRIFC omnishambles over the last 20 years or so….and….yup…a big fat zilch from the “public”…
I rest my case….

Saddened to see yet another fellow CA, instrumental in the whole MIH/RFC tax planning, aka tax avoidance/evasion/EBT scenario, squirming in court under cross examination. Just how many CAs have been involved in helping David Murray carry out his destruction of Scottish Football and his own publicly quoted business, but still leaving him a millionaire, relatively unscathed by his own misdeeds, for which he was ennobled? 1111

Good morning all…haven’t posted a comment for a few months…has anything happened.?..especially in the RIFC omnishambles 151515…?
