Naming the Rose
Here’s an odd thing. No SFL3 outright odds on the William Hill site today. They were there a week ago, as I was ‘humourously’ advising chums to put their £500 on Peterhead (14-1), QP (16-1), or a combination. SFL1 and 3 have odds listed.

Can we perhaps focus the giant brains on the licensing question? Seems to me that the options are twofold, either:

1) Sevco’s SFA Licence application included the information that they were likely to need a cash injection, of large but variable nature, predicated on the goodwill of their customer base, well inside their first year. In this scenario, it seems to me that the SFA were neglecting duties to other members in granting the application, or:

2) The subject was never mentioned. In which case, the SFA should get them in the room where the bright light shines, and ask them why not. Was the original grant conditional/provisional?

Grateful for any input.

Scottish Football: An Honest Game, Honestly Governed?
Humour me here, I’m a specialist in not much more than gazing out the window. One of the highlights of the RIFC Annual Report 2013 was a figure on page 25 (the balance sheet bit), for current assets, of £16.163m, as “amounts due from subsidiary undertakings”. Note 15 says this is: “amounts due to RIFC from The Rangers Football Club Ltd represents (sic) the proceeds of the Initial Public Offering less costs incurred in the fundraising. The net funds from this activity have been made available to the subsidiary as working capital.”

Try as I might, I can’t find any reference to this in the interims. All help gratefully received, preferably not involving words like simpleton.

Just the one trade today in RIFC shares, and that for only 2,000. Perhaps someone more market savvy than I would like to comment? Is it just quiet? Or suspiciously quiet?
