Burghbhoy, if you’re still there, it might be worth taking a minute to consider that you posted two comments in quick succession attacking both the TSFM community and moderators. Notice, if you will, that these comments were not moderated and were allowed to be viewed by the community as a whole. This is one of the few sites built on community engagement where moderation is used as a last resort. You have benefitted from this policy and the fact that TSFM asked people not to engage with you but continued to allow your posts to be shown just shows that you were given more chances to contribute something worthwhile, even after dragging us through the mire. So don’t be bitter, you’ve not been hard done by.

Hector a lot of people have posted similar comments, going back a while now, regarding the Ibrox support “starting to wake up”. I think that there are now very few, if any, within the Ibrox support who think everything is hunky dory and that the majority of the support woke up some time ago.

Easyjambo I’ve seen this being discussed here before and the question it always raises for me is what was the need for the newco? If the newco bought all the assets and paid all the debts and passed the last resolution you highlighted showing that they were the same entity, why not just pay off the debts and carry on? Was it because liquidation proceedings were already under way?

Regardless of the financial difficulties Rangers are in, the efforts which will undoubtedly be taking place to sign Kenny Miller speak to an appalling lack of any football strategy or vision. Signing a once very good but now pretty old former player, probably on tasty wages, with absolutely no resale value is utterly pointless and shows that under the current thinking both on and off the pitch Rangers sadly appear to be hell bent on recycling past errors for no discernible purpose.

Sorry if this kind of post belongs on a Rangers site rather than here, and I get annoyed when fans of other teams post such things here but I’m just making an exception this time, apologies. I know there has not yet been a suggestion that attempts to sign Kenny Miller for Rangers will be made, but I think we all know that story is coming. Call me ageist but a team in Rangers position should be trying to build a squad of young players to be sold on to bigger and richer clubs, not endlessly trying to sign washed up former heroes looking for one last big pay day that their waning talents no longer justify.

Rant over.

Congratulations to the Scotland team tonight for a great result, looked like a goal would never come due to that intrepid crossbar but it’s great to see a Scotland side look as accomplished as we have recently. Just think where we’d be if we’d kept our concentration in the last minute against England!

”Now on what is objectionable to others: songs that are inward celebrating might cause offence to others but they are the ones taking offence, it is not being offered to or aimed at them. It is something intolerant in them that sparks the offence taken.”

By your criteria above, it would be perfectly acceptable for a group of fans to turn up at a football ground singing “Ode to Isis” and as long as it was inward looking, it would be the fault of the rest of the crowd if they were offended.

I usually read your posts with interest and respect your views, but I find this stance ridiculous.

Upthehoops, thanks for your response. I’ve recognised my club’s weaknesses on here many times, but the justification given for support of clubs in Europe here is always that they are the Scottish representatives, which Rangers were. You can’t claim (and I don’t mean you particularly) to support the Scottish representatives but then exclude some because they aren’t financially well managed. Rangers mk II have been run at a loss but have broken no rules, and are not the first club in Scotland or in Europe to have been run at a loss. Again, I have been a vocal critic on here of the Rangers administration, but if people are on here claiming to support the Scottish representatives but making an exception for Rangers then I say they are hypocrites.

Jimbo you were not as vocal in your support for Scottish representation in Europe when Rangers were (briefly) involved. Neither was anyone else here, somewhat disappointingly.
