I have just finished reading some excellent journalism in yesterdays Independent on matters relating to Suarez and Man Utd.The writing is excellent and carried out without fear or favour.

It seems to me that in Scotland we have a small brigade of commentators on the game who jostle for a position,a niche, within the grouping. They tend however,in my opinion,to desist from coming out and challenging the issues as they present at any given time.Instead, they wait on events unfolding and then pronounce.

This is their weakness. As we know Alex Thomson left our borders utterly bewildered and frustrated as to the machinations of our judicial system, our corporate institutions and our footballing establishment. It is a strangled, tortured web of parochial nothingness.

It is our grave misfortune that we live in a small country where this takes place.it pains me to say it but if TRFC was an English club, a Spanish Club or from any other European country then I am quite sure we would be party to much clearer reportage of events unfolding in Govan as we speak.

So I come home from an evening out only to find that there is a question mark surrounding the Murray walking away story.
So has Chris McLaughlin pursued the journalists’ rule book of finding two sources willing to go on record to corroborate the story prior to release?

Perhaps not.

When a hack says that he ‘understands’ that this has happened or may happen.Beware.

enough litigation to keep all the QCs in Scotland busy for years.

As events unfold with alarming alacrity, the wilful desire expressed by the governing bodies to preserve and maintain ‘a strong Rangers’ is now rendered absurd.
As BRTH and RTC ,among others , have clearly stated ,over a protracted period, the business dealings of TRFC are now so seemingly toxic that until that club is ‘cleansed’ which may take some considerable time, there is no club in the land which would wish to jeopardise their business or license with any association to TRFC.

As the clubs meet at Hampden, no doubt they will be looking at the SFA principals with something of a jaundiced eye.

Had the SFA acted correctly, they should have not transferred the licence to TRFC. They had the opportunity and they failed to carry out the decision without fear or favour.

They did not listen and now they have the biggest omnishambles to unpick.
Will they act correctly this time round?

What a fine mess you have got yourselves in.

A Sanity Clause for Xmas?
Hello and good morning.I have not posted for many a moon so it has been interesting to read the contributions of the faithful.Well 2014 draws to an end and I fully concur with much of the sentiment here. The resurgence of the east coast teams is hugely welcomed and can only bring good to the game as a whole. As for the ever present Rangers saga let us hope that in 2015 this very, very tired conversation comes to an end.Their disappearance, once and for all, can only be good for Scottish football.Have a great New Year everyone.

Very pleased to hear of great news relating to Hearts FC.No purchase of history required.Predictably much gnashing of teeth and general frothing on twitter from followers of the new Rangers.
Anger set to default.
