Two-match suspension: one match to apply immediately to the player’s Recognised Team’s next match, irrespective of competition, and one match to apply to the next match that the player’s club plays in the Betfred Cup”Seems a departure from normal?___________________
I wonder what the chances are of him ever serving the second match ban! I’d be very surprised if he’s still at Ibrox next season (even before Pedro got his jotters).
There is a precedent. Danny Wilson left Rangers for Liverpool carrying a one match league cup ban. As England do not have competition specific bans he was deemed to have served this after missing one match. On his return to Scotland Hearts checked this with the SFA before playing him in the League Cup.
I’d assume that if Wilson had gone to Spain, for example, which had competition specific bans he would not have served his suspension.

HOMUNCULUSOCTOBER 11, 2017 at 19:34Thanks for reply.————The difference is of course money. If you say the cost of a ticket is normally £30 (or it’s equivalent on a season ticket) and take that away from the £50 they charge for these games then the difference is £160,000 per game, a minimum of £320,000 a year which they can ill afford to do without.

Are you working on the guaranteed 4 Celtic v Rangers/Old Firm  guarantee in the TV contract? Or, are you assuming the SPFL fixture programme has a ‘warm ball function’ to allocate two home games to Ibrox before the split? 06

A Lie for a Lie

I complete the cryptic crossword in the guardian every day but I don't have a clue what Ewan Murray is trying to say here.  If it comes to me over the next few days of lockdown I'll provide a translation but if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

Celtic’s Questions to Answer
I wonder if there was a theory that 'purdah' rules during an an election would preclude a response from HMRC?

I've no real problem with colt sides but would Hearts,Hibs Aberdeen etc not be included or interested?

Exactly. I wonder if any of the 28 (at present) thumb-downers could enlighten us as to why they took objection to your post at 7.47?

I would be in favour of strict liability, however it would be that those clubs who offer a cash gate for games against Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen(?) would have to cease this with the financial hit it would entail. As it stands any heider banned from the home turf can fetch up.

A bit jarring, today of all days, to read that Great Britain is one of the 5 countries that supply Champions League semi-finalists.

(no criticism is intended of Tom Jones as he is simply quoting the Greek MEP)
