Seven TD for stating why the game finished so late. Some of you don’t do yourselves any favours.
——

Bob, here’s the instructions on how to avoid quite so many TDs …

1. Make your point, which may involve some form of potential justification for TRFC doing or being involved in something.

2. End your post by saying something that casts TRFC in a poor light. This need not be relevant to your original point.

One other thing, seeing as I’m aiming for the TD World Record here … you chaps who seem to write the equivalent of a short novel on here on a daily basis – any chance of editing yourselves a little?

Being concise and to the point is a skill to be admired. Also, people will actually read your posts. Imagine you’re writing for a learned journal, but just post the abstract. πŸ˜‰

In other, entirely separate considerations, how much do people think the season ticket prices at Ibrox will go up this year.

——

Well … if TRFC don’t get promoted, they’re really not going to be able to put the ST prices up much, are they? Even if they go up one league it’d be a bit cheeky to have a large increase.

Most people are fairly sure that TRFC could use some extra cash.

All the nonsense about Scottish fitba needing TRFC in a higher league is just that – nonsense. As we know. However, if they were to get punted up the tables then they’d be able to dramatically increase ST prices – the receipts for which will go towards this year’s accounts, remember.

Normally no but they have set up a whistleblower web site

Looks like it could be worth a punt. Certainly the complainant type (i.e. anyone) and complaint fit with their requirements.

Come on, Highlander. Are you trying to tell us that JJ and The Mensch are *different people*? πŸ™‚

For an effective claim to be made it should be forceful and expeditious.
——
Trite comment: Try telling that to many 1970s TV presenters.

Real comment: Evidence gathering can take a long time, particularly where co-operation is not forthcoming. Justice is operated by heavy, slow-moving wheels.

A little light relief from the lad Mohsni (unfortunately “not a big name like Spanish Archer McCulloch”), talking in the Daily Record:

I thought the poor fellow was simply a rubbish fitba player, but he appears to also be a marble or two short.

(P.S. Split infinitives, I love ’em. Use them whenever I can – it’s a nonsensical “rule” of grammar. πŸ™‚ )

You write more like a Sandender
——

πŸ™‚ Surely you mean a Saniner? I spent many a happy summer day at Sanine beach, having walked over the hill fae Portsoy. Brilliant gun emplacement and tank traps. There was a great summer cafe in the old Church hall (I think it was) with a juke box and everything!

Upthehoops – I’m afraid that you may be taking a Glasgow-centric view there. I have a couple of excellent Irish friends here in Aberdeenshire. The only problem at all people here have with anyone of Irish descent is, dare I say it, when they’re part of the travelling community.

Danish – I also grew up in the East End. The East End of Portsoy. I assume that’s where you meant? πŸ˜‰
