Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I only hope that this blog keeps to the same high standards as its father.

Hello
the fair game works on a couple of levels. anyone who tries to work a flanker would be fair game for the blog as well as all contributors looking for a fair game. it works for me.

This new site cannot afford to lose sight of its Raison d’être or it will die. if it is to be half as successful as its father, it MUST maintain standards of dignity, respect, honesty and above all, integrity as without this it will be nothing more than a learned version of yahoo’s spl pages and that must never be allowed to happen.
I believe in integrity and fairness and a game in which all teams can compete without the fear that one of their opponents has an unfair advantage. We have learned a lot about scottish football (and the scottish psyche) from RTC and we owe it to ourselves and our game to put this knowledge to good use for the benefit of all.
I genuinely thought that with the former RFC entering d3 would instil some humility and sporting ethics in their fans, but alas, this would not appear to be the case. All the more reason for fans of all clubs to always remember the legacy of RTC and that legacy is that we have a voice, it is the fans of our game that are the lifeblood of all teams and we have the ultimate power to change things. If it were not for RTC and the learned contributors to the RTC site, the former rangers would not be in D3 and anyone who believes this is not the case is a fool.
This new site must be all inclusive and open to all, but it also needs to be policed effectively. RTC did a fine job with moderation and this has to be continued as effectively. If the follow on blog is to maintain its position of respect then transparency is a must also.
RTC lit a fuse 18 months or so ago, but its now the job of the rest of us to maintain the infant flame and do what we can to ensure this flame never goes out thereby signifying a return to the dark days of the chosen, though misguided few dining on the succulent lamb of our devotion to the game that we all love.

I’d like to extend a genuine TSFM invitation to Craig Houston to engage on this blog.

What have you got to lose? What might you gain in winning more general support?

Scottish Football needs rid of these spivs.

Great idea and would work on a number of levels. It would go some way to showing those that look to mr houston as a figurehead that this is an inclusive site based on scottish football and one that tries to be fair and objective. If even some fans of the new club are now looking for answers they could do far worse than coming here to look for them. anything that can be done to break down existing barriers should be looked into seriously as it will be seen as a genuine effort to include fans of all teams and not only the other 41 that fans of the new club seem to see it as. Any invitation should be made in the spirit of reconciliation, inclusion and progress. presenting a united front of all clubs in the country may go some way to showing the sfa that fans are simply sick and tired of their multifaceted approach to the rules and regulations governing the game in Scotland.

Alec Cameron …
======================
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcgv74698Qk Spot the horse’s a*se in the clip.

============================================================================

I worked in the Strathclyde Police stables in Salkeld Street around the time that happened. 1977/78, I think. The horse involved was an evil big b*gger named Adjutant. It was the most evil beast on the face of the earth with quite a badly deformed left shoulder, possibly caused by the size and weight of the monumental chip that it carried. I hated that horse and that horse hated me. It was my job to go in to his pen of a morning and wash his bits. The Police horses slept on beds of dried peat and when horses relax their bits tend to feel the effect of gravity and exhibit Geotropic tendencies, hence the need to give their bits a quick seeing to with a wet cloth. I took small satisfaction by making sure that when I attended to Adjutant the water was very fresh and extremely cold. Small victories and all that. Talk about giving me an inferiority complex? Good grief, this was abject humiliation and that horse knew it, I swear it would have a sneer on its face that asked how brave I was that morning. The answer was “not very, I remember Alex Cameron”. He had a bad habit of biting your shoulder if you turned your back on him, Adjutant I mean, not Alex Cameron, although I’ve never met the latter.
I had just recently returned to work after a period off sick due to fracturing a metatarsal playing footy (the only trait I have in common with David Beckham, if you can ignore running around in my pants). The horses were due to have their manes shaved and given skinheids for health reasons, to help with parasite control, not to make them look hard although it did have this side effect. I was holding on to Adjutant’s bridle to prevent him doing a runner out the door and averting the strong probability of sinking his fangs into members of the general public, no, this weapon of mass equine terror had to be kept under wraps only to be brought out as a deterrent when the two tribes went to war. With hindsight, this was the Gorbals in the 70’s so there is a strong chance that he would have been bitten back, but he proved to be a very effective weapon indeed. Anyhoo, the highly agitated Adjutant then decided that he would see how high he could lift me off the ground and reared up on his hind legs, ho-ho Silver like and crashed down with all his weight onto the concrete floor of the stables whilst using my slowly recovering and heavily bandaged and swollen big toe to cushion the impact and impending effects of gravity. I think this was the first time that a Police cadet had ever been transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and wheeled out from the back end of a horse box. That animated can of dog meat was highly persuasive in helping me decide that a career in Strathclyde Police was perhaps not a good path for me to follow.

That nag hated human beings, so God only knows why it attacked Alex Cameron…

Apologies for going OT, but i’ve been waiting a long time to vent my spleen regarding that creature from the seventh circle of hell that would have given Sleipnir itself a run for its money.

is it possible that the possible signing of kenny miller is more of an effort to boost st sales rather than for his goal scoring prowess? would be economically viable to invest 300k minimum to encourage 10,000 st sales to help provide much needed finance?
It seems a ridiculous signing to make when you consider age and scoring record, but its a different story if its a tool to provide much needed cash.
Its just a thought that went through my mind.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

taking off my tinfoil hat for a moment, nothing at all ever seems to stick to the newest football club in scotland. can it really all be down to ineptitude and honest mistakes? or is it something more sinistre (sic)?
I cannot say either way, the only ones who know are the people that make the decisions and form the judgments in the first place. the only thing that i can say with any degree of certainty is that the men who run football are nothing short of multifaceted cowards. without fear or favour? don’t make me laugh.
tinfoil hat back on.

can i get away with that one mods??
😀
